⭐️⭐️⭐️ So, how many bitcoins did the “Winklevii” send to Mezrich in exchange for this kiss-ass redemption story? He did not paint the twins in this manner in The Accidental Billionaires. One wonders. 🤔 Anyway, that aside, the writing is good, the story is compelling, but I still can‘t wrap my head around the purpose of cryptocurrency (Bitcoin in particular). It just seems like a complex and volatile game of skirting regulations.

Megabooks I‘m sorry you didn‘t like it as much as I did. I haven‘t read accidental billionaires. Cryptocurrency is free of government volatility or government taking it a la Cyprus or Great Depression America (and Europe). 6y
britt_brooke @Megabooks I‘m glad I read it! Mezrich is an engaging writer. He really changed his opinion on the twins from the other book to this one and that seemed odd and forced. I didn‘t know anything about cryptocurrency before this (and it still doesn‘t sound like anything I‘d ever use), so I learned a lot. 6y

I have a new appreciation for the Winklevoss twins. The narrative I believed was the one put forward in The Social Network. But they are so different.

After being turned away from Silicon Valley because of being blacklisted by Zuckerberg, they turned to bitcoin. This follows their first investments in bitcoin and the future of cryptocurrency. I loved it. 4⭐️
