Great book! Love Colleen Hoover!
Second time reading this one. I forgot how sad it is.
Falling somewhere between a so-so and a pick for me, this #audiobook had a couple of decent narrators. The guy who read for Myles sounded so familiar and/or reminded me of someone, but I haven't a clue who. I think it's going to bug me for a bit. 😝
I think I would rate this 3.5 stars I read it in a day, but I felt like I didn‘t connect with the characters at all like I saw people reviewing it, saying that they cried, but I was kind of stoned faced the whole time it was basically I was just reading it so I could read, but the plot was ok
⭐️⭐️⭐️ I hated that Miles‘s POV was center aligned. Stylistically, it wasn‘t a good choice, but his chapters provided straight-forward, necessary background, even if I thought that storyline was cringy and dramatic. The current-day pieces from Tate‘s POV were solid. Pretty standard #CoHo fare. I liked it. One book closer to completing her backlist.
Tate and Miles are not friends, they are certainly not in a relationship, they‘re just having casual sex. Love is Ugly. This book is a fast read and I couldn‘t wait to pick it back up to see where it was going to go. Tate and Miles relationship is toxic and delicious. I wanted to shake her for putting up with him, but loved them together. The ending wrapped a little fast, but was satisfying. Lots of heat in this one - very open door. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 /5
Reading this one next. Looking for something fast and gripping. Hope this fits the bill! ❤️📚
I read this book because my 14 yr old niece was reading, and we discuss books. It was a fast paced read, and I can understand why she is so popular. Miles is a pilot with a traumatic past who begins a relationship with a nurse who is the sister of his friend. The relationship is only for sex, and it doesn‘t work. While I feel sorry for “the boy”,his treatment of Tate although reprehensible is romanticized. And a young girl would sadly think it‘s ok.
Current audiobook. My first Colleen Hoover. Saw on Goodreads that my young niece, who is starting high school this year was currently reading this one. I decided to read it too. Preparing for a future discussion. 😉
My MIL bought me a Kindle as an early birthday present !!! After resisting for so long due to my love of physical books I have to say… I‘m obsessed with it 🥰🤩 Ugly Love was a great book with the usual CoHo twists and some spicy 🌶 scenes! Easy read, intriguing, and conjures multiple feelings throughout from heartache to surprise to … you know 😜
Going to start this one now. I have heard good thing about colleen hoover. Now time for me to see if shes any good like people say she is.
Got these at a deals place. Todays deals were a $1 for everything. Cant wait to read them.
I read this one so fast. It is 🌶️ 🌶️, but the mystery behind the two versions of Myles makes you keep guessing along the way!
Tate and Miles live opposite each other, not friends but attracted to one another. An agreement is made and set up. Three rules are established but can they be adhered to? They can‘t handle the situation, rules get broken and hearts get shattered.
Told over two points of view and set during two time periods. A serious, heart wrenching, emotional story that was well balanced. I wanted to know more from the beginning and couldn‘t put it down! 4⭐️
My first CoHo book. It was good. Did it‘s job by hitting me right in the feels. Nothing mind blowing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
“It‘s the beautiful moments like this these that make up for the ugly love.”
I didn't think CoHo and I were meant to be. I've read a couple of her books before, and I didn't get the hype.
I devoured this in a day. It was a real page turner, and I was desperate to know why Miles was so toxic. This is heartbreaking. On a couple of occasions, I found myself on the brink of tears. This is the only book of hers I've read and didn't roll my eyes so hard that I saw my brain.
Have I become a Hoover fan now? Hmm, time will tell 🤣
I‘m so often torn with Coho books. Great writing, she keeps you turning the pages but oof, her heroes just aren‘t. You know? I understand why, they are so tortured and in pain but still, is it always the woman‘s responsibility to fix it? I‘ll think about this one for sure, but for now? It is a so-so. I did really like the narration. #audio #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
Thanks so much Joey for this awesome surprise!! Love the pen and bookmark! I‘ve been wanting one of these! Thank you so much!! 💙📚🎉
My absolute favorite Colleen Hoover book. If you‘re looking for a book where you‘re unsure and then something surprising happens, this is it. ❤️
I read this book in a matter of two days. I just couldn‘t stop turning the pages on this heart-wrenching book. Don‘t want to say anything else Incase I spoil it!
Wow! This book is intense in every way possible!
It's messy yet clean! I never read a book this fast. The way it is written makes it not only easy to read but also easy to get captured by.
The love feels real. Both ugly and beautiful.
If you like reading messy romans then this is a book for you!
"It's easy to confuse feelings and emotions for something they aren't, especially when eye contact is involved"
"Me: Good night.
Rachel: Good night, Miles.
I turn off my phone, because I want that to be the last text I receive for the night. I close my eyes.
I'm falling, Rachel."
Totally biased opinion from someone who generally does not enjoys romance reads: Alpha, borderline-toxic men (even if they have their own reasons for this) are not my cup of tea!
Amazing book!!! Could not set it down!! Read it in a day!! Miles🥺🥺🥺
I think the book is really good. The book takes a lot of twists and turns and I like that you get to know what has happened in Miles' past life. I've read it ends with us before and think both books are a bit similar, but I almost like this one a little more. I think the plot is good and there is a common thread throughout the book.
4.5/5 Beautiful & heartfelt writing as always by Colleen Hoover. Loved the ending and how the main character grows
Lovely love story, some sad bits to. But overall a very good ready 📖
Look how cute my reading partner is, seriously 😻 this is the 2nd Colleen I‘ve read and WHOA. This woman knows how to pack a punch, in the best ways. She makes you love and hate the characters at the perfect time while intermingling their hardships and spicy romance. Laughter, anger, tears, I had it all. I absorbed this book.
Ugly love becomes you. Consumes you. Makes you hate it all. Makes you realize that all the beautiful parts aren't even worth it. Without the beautiful, you'll never risk feeling the ugly. So you give it all up. You give it all up. You never want love again, no matter what kind it is, because no type of love will ever be worth living through the ugly love again.
So I caved… My youngest was wanting to read It Ends With so of course gave it to her!! She‘s not much of a reader and I was so ecstatic that she wanted to read a book! Then she told me she wants all of Coho‘s books! Here are a few! 🎈📚Are these good?
Do you read Colleen Hoover? What are you thoughts? I read Verity and really liked it!
Colleen Hoover has become my new Bravo TV. The love stories are always a bit dysfunctional but addicting nonetheless.
Unabridged Audiobook (7/10):
My third novel from Colleen Hoover, and as always, I find myself unable to stop listening. Seriously some of the most engaging writing, no matter the level of the content. As always, there‘s a lot of sex talk, but this love story isn‘t hindered (or furthered?) by the addition of any weird plot elements. These are just ordinary people, being humans.
Fun and easy read. Some romance. I really liked it! Kept my attention and would definitely recommend!
