2022 has kind of been a bitch of a year, and a friend who‘s going through some rough stuff just returned this with glowing reviews. So, spending some time with it myself. 💖 #stitches #annelamott #solace #comfort
This was a nice inspirational read.
I love Anne Lamott. This short, but powerful book was full of quotable quotes such as this:
"Butterflies and birds are like one perfect teaspoon of creation."
What a way to start off the New Year...by reading another Anne Lamott book! Her wisdom just oozes into your soul. ❤️
Here‘s my second favorite quote from this book: “My brother teaches special education at a local high school. I think he will be seated near the Godiva chocolate fountain on the other side of eternity.” 😁🙌🏻
"The world is always going to be dangerous, and people get badly banged up, but how can there be more meaning than helping one another stand up in a wind and stay warm?"
This feels needed today. The last few days have felt so defeating. Avoiding the world and staying in my bubble.
I read this lovely short book by Anne Lamott earlier this year—it focuses on hope and repair, stitching pieces back together after things fall apart. Anne Lamott is always a good idea. And what are stitches without #thread? #readingresolutions
This was given to me as a gift and it is a gift indeed!❤️😊
This is classic Anne Lamott. A beautiful little book about stitching life back together when things fall apart... and the beauty that can be found in those repairs.
The pain does grow less acute, but the insidious palace lie that we will get over crushing losses means that our emotional GPS can never find true north, as it is based on maps that no longer mention the most important places we have been to.
Pretending that things are nicely boxed up and put away robs us of great riches.
Lunch and new lunch book!
Anne Lamott is always so inspirational and willing to share her spiritual experience with us. Her books make me feel happy.
One of my 19 books I currently have from the library. I keep waiting for them to say #nomorebooksforyou

2⭐ It was okay, but there were a few glaring problems that caused me to not want to finish this book, though I did listen to it until the end.
First, the audiobook version is read by the author and while I usually love books read by the author, this time it was poorly done. The narration was sometimes rushed, pauses came at random times, and it sounded like stream of consciousness. Second, there is no unifying theme not depth to her stories.
Today's books do double duty! #takemetochurch #lyricalapril @Cinfhen #thoughtprovoking #aprilbookshowers @RealLifeReading
I loved this book and the quotes. Another 2014 read.
