pickI came across a review of one of Catherine Fox's other books written by another author I like very much which made me want to reread this - probably my favourite book. It's not perfect, and I recognised the truth of some of the criticism it has received, but I still love it. I relate to it strongly and find a lot to think about in it's examination of faith lost and found.
The fact that I think this exchange is funny might say more about me than I realize. I hope it will amuse you @TheReadingMermaid 😘

This is the story of Mara, a vicar's daughter who doesn't believe anymore. As a post graduate student she becomes involved with students at an Anglican theological college and begins to come to terms with her past. I love the way the story is told completely from Mara's point of view so that it is only the things others say that give you any other perspective. I think it's my favourite book.
