I thought it was ok but I just felt kind of disconnected from the story unfortunately. I wish I could have loved it more because it seems like something I should have loved but it just missed the mark.

Next up. I‘m told it‘s like an anime in book form, so I have high hopes
This was a fun book, with the Japanese supernatural creatures as excellent scary and spooky characters.
Kira‘s family shrine is attacked by a powerful Oni, looking for the last piece of the sword of the Sun goddess, and Kira must find new strength and new allies to help save her family, the shrine, and humanity.
4/5 stars, read for some mild Japanese horror and a tale of finding new strength within and new friends.
I have just started the book the “Seven Deadly Shadows”, which goes into the world of the supernatural and who you can trust or not. In this story we follow Kira, as she tells us the story from a first person perspective as indicated by the use of “I” and that it only shows the story from her perspective.
Another one finished. It‘s a retelling of the Seven Samurai. I‘m not a fan. #Scarathlon #TeamHendrix #Wickedathon #SpookOWeen #Screamathon #ReadWithUs
4th of 2021. This was a decent book. Good action and an interesting world. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I definitely need to re-read this when I'm in a different headspace. Right now, I feel like I had the issue of being interested in the fantasy elements of the book but really bored by the contemporary part of it.
Completed a blackout for my library‘s February bingo! I just wanted to prove that I could do it. And another benefit is that I am now 11 books ahead of schedule for my Goodreads goal. 💪🏻
3/5 ⭐ I liked the world and the action. Fast paced but I didn't make an emotional connection. #arc
