Dorothy is swept by a tornado from her home to the magical land of Oz. What follows is a series of adventures where she makes friends & learns the way home.

It was very sweet to revisit this. I had forgotten just how serial this story is, w/ all the little adventures. & sometimes, I want the simplistic fairy tale of good vs bad. & I loved how every chapter we see the Scarecrow be smart, the Tin Man be kind, & the Lion be courageous.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑

Okay, okay. I really loved seeing Wicked: Part One last night, and I woke up with an idea.

Would anyone be interested in a #BuddyRead of the original 14 Oz novels starting in December and going through until Wicked: Part Two comes out next year?

The books are all in the public domain, so should be available on Project Gutenberg, Amazon has an omnibus Kindle edition for $1.49, and ThriftBooks has many inexpensive editions available.

Soscha I‘ve read the series through Ruth Plumly Thompson. Love it! Oz is much scarier than people realize, why I still adore the Return To Oz film from 1985. My fave character remains The Glass Cat though they seem incredibly full of themself! 🤭 HECK YES I‘d reread! (Also into Raggedy Ann & Andy though there‘s no real plotline with those.) 2mo
