Just finished my first Rhys Bowen, a little Halloween novella. I thought that I wanted to read the newest in the series for Christmas, but now I'm thinking I want to start from the beginning! Not sure I want to spoil everything.

This is a novella-length introduction to the Royal Spyness books. They're a fun read, and the characters are delightful. As this was written after the initial books in the series, there are set-ups and callbacks to things which will happen in the future.

I‘m in love with the Her Royal Spyness series, and while waiting to get book 7 from the library I decided to read this quick novella prequel. Georgie has just come out in society and is invited to a masked ball for Halloween. There is no murder mystery here but a little bit of intrigue. This will hold me over until the next one is available. 4⭐️

DenaReads I love these books as well! Just finished book #9.Malice At The Palace. Gonna read Broxley Manor tomorrow n day after that.Excited!! 4y
JenlovesJT47 @DanaReads awesome! I can‘t wait for the new one to come out, I‘m already on hold at the library 🤓 I plan on rereading the entire series via audiobook soon. 🤗 4y

Just finished this one and it's likely to be my last read of 2017. This short story has certainly piqued my interest in the series, but it ended rather abruptly. It felt like it was just getting started! Still, it was an easy read with a hint of mystery. 3/5⭐️

These will not be my final numbers - I still have lots of books to read this year!

I've got quite the extreme numbers for most/least popular books.

This novella was okay, but not a necessary read for the series. She sets up some of the characters, but the story itself was not really as good as her full length books.

A short novella prequel to the Royal Spyness series. Entertaining enough for an afternoon of listening while running errands. #BoutofBooks
