so-soI'm not sure what to make of this. Intriguing story but I was mildly confused some of the time. The sections from the past were definitely the best. I was also somewhat disappointed with the outcome. The writing was good though and I'm off to hear the author speak in a few weeks so will give her new book a go.
I didn't get on too well with my last pick but I think it was me so haven't bailed it. Hoping this pick is a bit better or I'm more in the mood for some reading.

pickThis gets a pick, although it's one of those where I've got to the end and I kind of need someone to explain the story to me so I can make sure I got it right!! It's told in a time-hopping way which I really enjoyed and the family are so interesting and flawed and real, but I wanted more of the other Mrs Walker at the end so I could be sure of the closure of the story. An enjoyable read all in all though.
Started on this one a couple of days ago and it's intriguing already. Lots to unravel...
