I am currently listening to the audio version of this book. I suppose if I had not grown up around the very accents the narrators are trying to pull off I would enjoy it more but the bad accents are pretty distracting. I wish they had just cast real Irish actors. I might just have to abandon the audio for print. Skip the audio, stick with the print instead. This is definitely NOT a Juvenile Fiction book. There are some pretty racey sex scenes.

A very odd story, as most of hers are.

A spellbook of the lost and found was discovered by some friends & they decided to do the spell but"every lost require a sacrifice...be carful what you wish not all things should be found".Is the book about spells or about some psychological needs or both??I enjoyed the book but sometimes it was repetitive in the lost and found spell action. I used my mug received by @Captivatedbybooks & @ladyneverwhere letters 3.4⭐️
I enjoyed the magic in this book, but feel like the American published changed enough of the language that this didn't feel like it was set in Ireland.
I loved her first novel and this was equally enchanting! I really enjoy the writing style as well!
Two out of two MPL librarians recommend this YA fantasy novel about spells, secrets, and finding what you‘ve lost.
I got this as an audio-book for a cross country flight. Unfortunately, hubby and I wound up chatting with the guy to the left of me a bit, so we landed with 15 minutes left in the story. Argh. (Of course I was thrilled to get off the plane!)
The narrator's accent really put me in Ireland.
I liked the story, but it didn't fully grab me.
First read of the new year! It‘s been wickedly cold here, so yesterday I snuggled into a blanket and finished this. A solid 4 Stars for me - it was intriguing and kept me guessing until the end. #spellbookofthelostandfound #amreading #booknerd #bookworm #2018goals
Absolutely loved this book, and adore the author's writing.
This book is so atmospheric, magical, mysterious... I'm in love! 5/5 stars!!
I tried not to read this book quickly so it wouldn't end. It's very unique! Overall it was paced well but some parts dragged. I enjoyed the character development. I'm not a fan of alternating POVs and in the beginning it was a bit confusing. 4 out of 5-would have been a 5 if Olive was the only narrator.
This book, by the author of the phenomenal The Accident Season, was okay and resolved well. But it took FOREVER to get there. My gosh, I could've done without several of the chapters. By the time I got to the last 100 pages, I realized that I could have figured out what was going to be revealed if it had held my attention long enough at a sitting to put the pieces together.
The book perfectly describes itself at the end with "Embrace the unexplained."
This is one of those books that you'll have to reread a few times in order to totally understand it. The setting and magic are well written. There's a lot of time/place jumping, mystery and "omg! That's who that is!" moments.
A stunningly beautiful book with real diversity of race, sexual orientation and ability. I am really excited to read Moira's other work
Pretty cover + magic + Ireland? Yes please!
I'm pretty sure this will help me fill a square on the BOO!kish Bingo being run by Life & Lit
Magical story told in bits by Olive (Olivia), Laurel, and Hazel. The plant names seemed like an awful affectation at first, but I got over that. Laurel & her friends find the Spellbook of the Lost & Found & cast a spell to retrieve their lost diary pages on the night of the town's bonfire. That same night other people start losing things. I love how this all tied together. The Keeper of Lost Things seemed like a good companion read.

Pretty cool. Magical realism mixed with contemporary YA. Not usually my cup of tea but I'm enjoying it so far.
My next read for the Shadow Lounge Monthly Readathon, and ARC August!
I had a hard time deciding between "pick" and "so-so" for this one because on one hand it gave me major Raven Cycle vibes (creepy and magical) and the writing was beautiful and I was interested. On the other hand it didn't totally deliver for me. It's one of those weird books you like and don't totally like at the same time. Although I do say it's the perfect Fall or Halloween read for sure.
Thank you Penguin Random House Canada!! I liked The Accident Season and I'm looking forward to reading this!
#ItsAllAMystery when things start to go missing in a small town, one stormy summer night. First small bits and baubles, then people. Everyone in town loses something but when a group of teens find a book with spells to recall what was lost, things aren't exactly what they seem...

Still working on this... So far so good. Lots of characters to keep up with but their stories are finally starting to intersect...
Also, shot out to any Norwegian Litten friends I might have. This cool, refreshing Voss water just happens to come in the perfect container for a sensory bottle for my lapsit kids! #recyclereducereuse

Spellbook of the Lost and Found is spellbinding--a threading of words and characters that encompass a story that integrates a tug-of-war battle between the past and present, the real and the unknown, the lost and the found. It's a tale of the past and future swallowed in a thick fog of lost mementos and new discoveries. This story will wreck you with conspiracies, hopeful romances, and haunting secrets.
I'm absolutely loving this book. Moïra Fowley-Doyle's writing is superb.
