Mehso-so

I didn‘t hate this book, but it definitely wasn‘t my favorite. I felt like it got off to a good start and I enjoyed some of the insightful thoughts that she offered. But, I found it to get repetitive and a bit cynical and overall a little boring. The lack of structure, for me, became tough by the end because it felt too scattered. I‘m not sorry I read it, but it definitely wasn‘t my favorite.

Pickpick

For the first few chapters of this book I almost bailed. The authors tone was so obnoxious and annoying. But then I realized she was self aware of being annoying and the book kept getting better. This is an interesting take on being a wedding guest in the modern age and thoughts and feelings on marriage and being single. Very good read. #litsypartyofone

Currently reading these three. With my new job I don't have as much time to read which is so ironic since I work at a library 😂 How do you balance a job outside the home with reading time?

Beckys_Books Poorly 😣 7y
CocoReads I frequently neglect housework in order to read. So yes, poorly. 7y
ReadingSusan @CocoReads ha ha I do that too! 7y

ajstaker Yeah, my house is a mess most of the time, but I'm happy (except when my book is lost in the mess)! It is just a little nerve wracking if we get last minute company🐷🎪 7y
Gissy I can read mostly during the weekends because usually I come back from work too late and Wake up too early😳 I practically have no social life, too tire from work so I prefer to stay and read, Sometimes I read al least few pages before I go to work because I wake up at 4:45 am. I carry my book with me to everywhere. All that means that I don't have too much time to read plus I'm a slow reader 😢 7y
TrishB I don't worry too much about housework......!! 7y
Lacythebookworm Audiobooks are great for #audiocleaning 😊 7y
AmyG @Lucythebookworm....Yes! Audiocleaning, audiodriving and audiowalking in the morning is how I double my reading time. 👍🏻 7y
minkyb Yes @TrishB the housework should be the first to go! 7y
TrishB @minkyb you've been to my house then 😂 7y
ReadingSusan @ajstaker yes last minute company is never welcome lol. 7y
ReadingSusan @Gissy yeah I think weekends will be the only time I can read from now on 😭😭 7y
ReadingSusan @Lacythebookworm I usually listen to podcasts while cleaning unless it's a library book audio. 7y
ReadingSusan @AmyG podcasts have ruined my audiobook listening lol 7y
AmyG @ReadingSusan Funny you said that....my daughters just turned me onto the My Favorite Murder podcast. I listened to the first one today and it was wonderful. I may just have to listen to more of them...over audiobooks. ;) 7y
ReadingSusan @AmyG I love podcasts! If you like that podcast check out Up & Vanished and In the Dark. Those are other really good true crime podcasts. And of course Serial if you haven't listened to that. 7y
AmyG @ReadingSusan ...Thank you, I will. Also, S-Town...I heard it is better than Serial (which I listened to). 7y
ReadingSusan @AmyG yes! I loved Serial but S-Town, although very different, was my favorite. 7y

Jen Doll gets me. "I worried that it would be stupid for me to give up that something, even if the signs pointed to me not wanting it at all, not that, not with him."
