pickI received an advanced copy of this book, scheduled for release in January 2020, highly recommend reading (preorder). A moving story of a Mexican Mother & son trying to escape a vengeful drug lord and to el norte (America).

Half way this book and I am obsessed. So good. I am also tea drinker, so I was excited to see the author put together tea sampler to accompany the book.
Weekend plans, sip pu-erh tea and finish this incredible fascinating read.
pickGrowing up I was huge fan of the Cathy comic strip.
Creator Cathy Guisewite just released a book of essays, it is insightful, relatable and funny.
It first chapter I laughed out loud 5 times.
Highly recommend

Today dropped my husband off at an appointment in area of our city that we normally don't go.
Found a locally owned bookstore and decided explore.
Forgot to unmute my phone, got distracted by all the books, forgot about husband by time remembered him had 6 texts and 5 calls 40 minutes to come get him.
Took a chance based on "for lovers of" and ??? it was a book on my TBR list.
So I had a great outing.. Hubs is annoyed but he'll recover.
1/2 way through and has me disliking JELL-O even more then I did before. Alwsys found Jell-O creepily disturbing now I know why?
Jell-O's early misogynistic racist ads are cringy. 🤦♀️
