Three stories, three perspectives, one ultimate ending that ties everything together and leaves you begging for more. One of my favorite books I‘ve ever read. A rollercoaster of emotions that are both familiar and foreign all at once

This brutal book is a gritty, dark, violent look at the world of drug trafficking. It reads as a series of connected stories that all come together in the end. Early on, I considered bailing and definitely thought I might pan it, but it builds in such a way that makes it worth sticking to. It might be a good idea to have a puppy around to hug at the end to dispel the darkness. #botm

Lookie what was waiting for me when I got home tonight- a package of goodies all the way from Israel! I'm really looking forward to reading this one, and love the beautiful bookmarks! You're so thoughtful, @Cinfhen! 🤗❤

My first DNF of the year.
Fifty pages in, & nothing of substance has happened, & I don‘t care about any of these characters, & I‘m not impressed with anything about the author‘s style.
I‘m moving on. Maybe I‘ll circle back later.
This was a different kind of book. It seemed very Tarantino- ish with a the crazy time lines, drugs, murder and nutty cast of characters. I struggled to get into it and thought it was just ok.
New read! This was well reviewed on http://lithub.com/bookmarks, a website that aggregates reviews. I consult it when looking for a new read, authors I would normally skip or if I'm simply in a ~mood~ #crime #thriller #junkiesandjails
Gritty crime novel. Lots of twists and turns, but the pacing felt uneven and I didn't connect with any of the characters.
I don't read much crime fiction, but that may need to change. This book was like a Quentin Tarantino movie... dangerous, off beat, pulsating, satirical, captivating & a mad rush! Beginning with the outcome, the story reads in reverse, connecting the many characters and bit players to create a memorable ride. Great #BOTM selection! Will definitely check out the author's first novel. #LetterE #LitsyAtoZ
Not sure how I felt about this book. Liked the action and tying all the stories together, but I didn't like any of the characters. Maybe that was the point for the author. People aren't always likable, especially when feeding addiction 3.5/5stars 🤗🤗🤗
All I want to do is read but I have to adult today and I don't want to ☹️☹️☹️☹️
Starting my "Z" or "H" pick today for #LitsyAtoZ (author's last name) Haven't seen much about either book on Litsy ? kind of going in clueless, which is sometimes a blessing ~ #NoExpectations
What a better way to start the weekend then with brains splattered on the wall 💉💉💉💉
New filters are pretty cool 😂 -- but this book was not my favorite #botm pick. Fun, multi-layered story about a California - Miami - Thailand ecstasy ring, and definitely a quick read, but it never really drew me in.
I enjoyed reading this one a lot! Not usually what I gravitate towards, but solid, gritty crime fiction that kept me hooked.
Drug trafficking, betrayal, murder: all wrapped in a meticulously laid out novel split into five parts. The stories and characters almost don't seem related at first, but it builds and builds with layer upon layer and the next thing you know everything clicks into place.
Glad I added this to my November #botm box! 📚
I'm so happy with my first Book of the Month Club box! Great new release hardcovers at great prices plus a mad cute tote? Yes please! Can't wait to to sink my teeth into these 2 books, has anyone read them? What did you think? 📚#bookofthemonth #everymanamenace #beholdthedreamers #bookbox #booksubscriptionbox #BOTM
I loved this book! It's crime novel without the good guys and had a bad ass female antagonist. What more could you want in a book? It was heady, intelligent, and it even had the capability to make you sympathize with the characters - no matter how screwed up they are. I will definitely be reading other books by this author.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about this book. It was cool to follow 3 different groups to a specific event. I just felt like some parts were a little lengthy?
My new ladder bookshelf 😍 my TBR books were starting to pile up on the floor so I decided to get them a new home 📚 Every Man a Menace also showed up from Book of the Month today to make things even better 🎉
#bookmail! Very proud of myself for not adding anything to my very first BOTM. I'm sure that won't happen again. 😂😂😂😂
Getting around to start my #botm pick for this month. I've been reading some reviews on Goodreads, so I'm excited to start it!
My #botm box is here!!!! So excited for these books.

Liberty Hardy will you be back to BOTM in December? I trust you with my reading life. I don't give that trust out easy. In the meantime, my 3 November selections

"Every Man a Menace is everything you could want in a thriller — lightning pace, dead-on dialogue, and a twisting, high-torque plot. But, most of all, this novel is smart and authentic, a welcome jolt at a time when so much fiction reads like it rolled off an assembly line.” — Carl Hiaasen
