4/5
Enjoyed, felt like it wasn‘t a stand-alone although the book didn‘t really tell me until the about the author at the back (irritating). Will read more of this author.
Didn‘t want to put down at bed time.

Gardener‘s D.D. Warren series is becoming a fast favourite. A great series for readers looking for strong female protagonists and mysteries that need time to unravel. Devastating crimes involving children, solved by determined characters; Gardner looks into seemingly senseless violence and how the actions of others impact the family.

Not one of my favorites, I don't mind reading back and forth between characters, but this one I didn't like this format at all
Special agent Kimberley Quincy and Detective DD Warren work with recovered victim Flora to try and discover who is behind the mass findings of graves with skeletal remains in a small town.
Flora managed to escape her kidnapper and accused killer Jacob Ness years ago, but since then Ness has been killed... So who is responsible for these new murders?
Loved this story start to finish, and the ending surprised me, which is always a plus!
Not much reading gets done with this little nugget around... #puppytime
Just finished this most recent one from the D.D. Warren series. My first Lisa Gardner, but jumping into the middle of the series was doable - she did well establishing the developed relationships and ensuring the reader knew enough background. A decent read about serial killers and the way they often appear to victims as monsters and demons. 4⭐
I enjoyed this thriller but it was easy to figure out what was happening and who the bad guy was. I didn‘t really find there to be any surprises or shocking moments. It was an enjoyable read overall.
Sorry haven‘t really been up to reviewing this past year. Moving, pneumonia and then the pandemic.
Anyway this had all my favourite characters in one novel. DD Warren is still my favourite but Flora is growing on me. Small towns hide big secrets. The most interesting part of the story is the witness though.
Lisa Gardner just writes immensely readable thrillers. I‘ve been reading the DD Warren series a little out of order but they‘re definitely one of my favorite series. Especially when you get the added Flora Dane storyline. Love it!
Pacing my library books means I somehow restrained myself from cracking this one. Looking forward to reading another DD Warren novel.
Another DD Warren mystery. I couldn‘t put this one down - this story starts with one body uncovered, then escalates into a reveal of crime ring encompassing a whole town. I loved the writing style with multiple perspectives, and I enjoyed Flora Dane‘s chance at romance. I guessed one part of the ending, but not all of it. A good read!
The latest DD Warren book was another good one, I do really love the fact Flora is still in them and has developed into such a great character!

Love Lisa Gardner! D.D. Warren is still going strong. If you have not read this series, you need to give it a try.
For the first time ever, all 3 female protagonists take center stage!!! Gardner handles it perfectly!!!
💜💜💜
WHEN YOU SEE ME is a heart-stopping thriller that is immediately captivating. Lisa Gardner certainly knows how to grab your attention and not let go. Her female characters are vulnerable yet strong, courageous and admirable. https://www.bluestockingreviews.com/post/when-you-see-me

I honestly love this series. Each book just gets more and more amazing.
In this book, D.D. is joined by past characters to help solve the mystery surrounding a body that is discovered in the mountains.

A roller-coaster of a DD Warren crime detective novel!! So many bad, twisty people in this one. Love this series, DD gets better, even warming to Flora (she gets a break in this one!). A series I‘m up to date with, yay me 😁
The opening scene was disturbing, heartbreaking, and mysterious all at the same time. It also introduced a character who later showed such strength, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to justice. Out of the three MCs, I have to say that D.D. Warren was my favorite in this story. She was not afraid to push for answers when something didn‘t seem right, even when told to leave it alone. I also loved that Agent Quincy had Warren‘s back.
25% into this and only started it yesterday. The other book I had going is kind of on hold at the moment 😂
Thank you, @penguinrandomhouse and #NetGalley for the chance to read the latest Gardner book!! She‘s one of my favorite writers and this mash-up brings together her best heroines- D. D. Warren, Kimberly Quincy and my personal favorite- Flora Dane. They are all teamed together to solve the mystery of remains found in a small Georgia mountain town. It‘s exciting and has a twisty plot and great new characters. I loved it!!
I had a terrible day yesterday but today is definitely much better. I had requested the new book by Lisa Gardner (When You See Me) last week on Netgalley and my request was declined. I got an email from the publisher this morning inviting me to read it in exchange for a review. I'm so excited! 😁
