I‘m sharing an ebook on my Kindle that I haven‘t read yet. I chose this book when I was still subscribed to the Amazon First Reads program. I haven‘t read it yet but it has blue font on the cover and it sounds really good.

A friend told us about this cute book: "Jonathan opens the calendar to find that someone known only as “H.” has filled it in with suggestions, tasks, and affirmative actions for each day" and I thought the whole idea is fantastic and I want to do it as well! For "Friendmas" this year our gifts will be a 2022 diary with all of the above in! I am sl excited! ????????
And I can't wait to finish the book!!!???

pickI have no memory of how this ended upon my Kindle (does anyone else have that problem?) but it was a nice “fluff” read which managed to be predictable and implausible at the same time. But a good COVID read. 🤷🏻♀️
It's an odd book, but strangely it's growing on me. Looking forward to seeing how it ends. The story takes place in Hamburg, Germany, which gives it a different and unique element.
Your Perfect Year is told in alternating perspectives of Jonathan and Hannah. It was really interesting to see how their two storylines finally overlapped! I liked the premise of Jonathan finding the Filofax and how following the diary started to change his life.
pickSide by side diaries of two people whose lives eventually collide. 4/5 ⭐️ A little clunky in parts but a cute read.

so-soTonally this was not quite what I expected. I thought it was a romantic comedy but it's actually quite serious. It was also pretty slow until the end when things came together too quickly. I don't know how much, if any of that, to blame on the translation but I do think there are some translation issues. Both MCs frequently irritated me in ways I think were unintentional and also due to translation. I nearly liked it but it didn't quite land.
so-soI think this was a classic case of the book just not being what I was expecting. The description makes it sound like a lighthearted romcom type of story, but it's actually quite serious and even very sad in places, with a suicide forming one of the central storylines. The romance felt somewhat contrived and hasty, and while not a bad story, it had a weirdly overall down vibe that just isn't my preference - I'm an upbeat kinda girl!
30 degree weather is not ideal for having all of the windows replaced in one‘s home, but Sophie and I are cuddled on the couch reading and staying warm while the poor window guy freezes. 🥶😻📚
