Maybe a little out of order, but I watched the first Candyman too! It gave so much more context to the 2021 sequel, so I‘ll have to rewatch that one, probably with the boyf. Lemme tell you, tho, I was CHEERING at the end. All the homies hate Trevor!!

I read one of the Candyman stories for a horror class in undergrad, and I‘m so mad I‘m just now watching the movie. The atmosphere, the characters, the message… 10/10, I wish I‘d seen it in theatres.

The original Candyman movie scared the crap out of me! I saw it in theaters as a young teenager and had to leave the movie early because I was so scared. I also had a mini meltdown when my dad tried to prove to me that it wasn‘t real…by saying Candyman in the mirror 🙄. This new movie definitely didn‘t scare me as much but it still was good.
