Archies' Comics

I was a huge Archie comics fan, especially the double digest ones. Everytime we went to the store, I'd get one. When I was 10, I found a huge box of old ones at a thrift store. The owner said they never sell & gave me the whole box for $10. I have no idea what happened to them, they "disappeared" after a move in my teens. When my kid was 8 she asked for an Archie comic at the store & she now has a collection of her own

TheKidUpstairs I can remember scraping together enough change to buy a new Archie comic and bicycling to the general store in town 🙂 I have a couple at home, surprisingly it is my youngest (3 years old) who loves reading them with me. 1y

1. Good question! I‘d say when NASA decided Pluto was a dwarf planet. It was weird to relearn that there are only 8 planets in our solar system 🤷🏽‍♀️😅
2. Library!
3. I wish I could say it was some classic book or a really good novel but it‘s comics that got me into reading. I read every single Archie comic sold in my local grocery when I was 8 📚🤓

Our local library gave out weekly craft projects leading up to Christmas. The last one was a decoupage tile coaster. It came with some book pages, but I chose to go with my comfort comic.

TieDyeDude @Tattooedteacher Heck yeah! They have some more modern-looking comics, but you can still find the original digests, sometimes where they sell magazines, sometimes in the checkout aisle of Walmart or grocery stores. 3y
