Starts off strong where the second left off-
Massive fall out for the MC‘s, but they are still trying to find their way out together, tons of conflict -everyone thinks their way is best.
Enne‘s impulsive ways catch up with her quickly.

But there are TOO MANY PEOPLE. I do not need what is happening from every side character in the book.

It‘s book 3 and there‘s so much random world building. Why? If it wasn‘t needed in book 1…

But, ok conclusion.

Now, I don‘t like a lot of YA. I used to love it. For a long time actually and I “out grew it” at like 33 or so. It just wasn‘t the escape I craved (murder is much more relaxing 🤣).

I am enjoying this series. But oh my god would this book be so much better if everyone had a developed prefrontal cortex and was intentional with their actions. I can‘t tell if it‘s bad writing or if everyone‘s just 17.

Nothing grinds my gears like a preorder being cancelled (a month AFTER the book has been released, I might add) because it is no longer available when it obviously IS very much available 🤬

Did I mention that my preorder price was $5 cheaper than what it's currently listed for? 🤬🤬🤬

Gotta finish this before my audiobook is due back to the library

It feels like forever since I've bought new paper books (between pandemic living and being nose-deep into my e-readers), but here we are. Also, Volts is a beast (~600 pages). 📚

This is book 3 and I believe the end of the trilogy for the King of Fools series. I received book one in @Owlcrate. Still haven't read it. I have heard lots of good things. I'm just not the biggest fan of the cover.
