Loving this, such a great author.
Just let myself open the package containing my birthday presents for myself. #bookmail
London 1930. Nevis marries Simon. Nevis questions everything as we journey with her through her marriage & her relationship with her N. Y. Publisher Marcus who says “ you write as naturally as you breathe”.. and so does M Panter-Downes. I wonder how much of the authors own story echoes in this book. Nevis has a tenderness, a goodness & a beauty to her. How often in life we want to go back , but we can‘t really go back because we are different 👇🏻
I‘m really enjoying this book. The writing is very ‘chatty ‘ & it‘s funny in places & lovely too.
I‘m getting carried away & have already ordered another book of hers called One Fine Day
Out to lunch & I was having a little read. Husband here now .. must order .. it‘s all good here 😋 ( and the book is a good read .. a blame it on @LeahBergen
I received some lovely book mail today!
