I thought this book was really neat! It‘s got creepy things and myth and fear and love all mixed together. Kind of a modern Gothic horror. I liked the characters too, they all had their own quirks and none are really “ordinary”.

Decided to go back to an old favourite of mine from high school. Didn't get chance to post this morning like I wanted to because I got asked to do overtime due to staff sickness, and then didn't get chance to post this afternoon because life 😓
Time is a bit out as I made this earlier before I had to go out, hopefully I'll get a bit more done before bed 😂

And anyone else wanting some freaky reads for a freak month ahead.

1. Bathroom. I hate cleaning the bathroom.
2. Mine keeps saying he can cook, but his version is usually ordering pizza 😂 My son can make a killer homemade pizza though 🍕

My book haul(10 books for $30)and book mail(The Door in the moon)

If I can read it in one sitting...it's a winner!!!! The cover drew me in and the story had me hooked from page 1! A very unique telling of folklore that I didn't even know about until recently (thank you Outlander!). There were a few slow and confusing spots but not enough to bother me. Eerily beautiful, morbidly facinating and all together intriguing! #winner #christmasreads

Well I didn't get much reading time in over the last couple days, though I did get to play with my new Kobo Aura for a little bit last night (yay!!! Upgrade!!) So today is relaxing and reading. Finally some 'me' time. First pick is one of my #ssgp books. So far it's creepy and intriguing! I think I'll have no problem getting through it 😊

Dark, gory and frightening.

This book freaked me out when I first read it. Unfortunately, upon reading it again, I see now that the book builds to a huge anti-climax and all the female characters are described in terms of attractiveness and amount of cleavage. It starts out strong, but then kind of loses speed toward the end.

Definitely a first novel, clunky and weirdly paced now and then...but her talent shines through and makes it a fun read with better books ahead (and they are)

Today's book. I like it so far, and it's a terrific premise. Also, I really dig its cover
