I read the first book in the series last year. This one I might have enjoyed a bit more. Though if she didn‘t say she was 37 years old, I would never have thought that. Vampire and Witch romance with a mystery of someone kidnapping bar girls.
This series follows a group of sister witches set in New Orleans.
so-soIdk if it‘s me or the audio narrator but this is the second book in the series and both male main characters irritated the crap out of me when they narrated. This definitely impacted my rating as I hated being in this dudes head.
pickWitch meets vampire. She doesn't need a man for a fulfilling life. She'd want a lifelong partnership. He's out of her league, since he's handsome and drives expensive cars and parties with the rich and famous. Furthermore, he's in town for a job, not for ever. It would never work, or would it?
I enjoyed this second book in the paranormal/urban fantasy #Romance series.

Book 2 focuses on Isadora who we didn‘t see much in the first book. I loved her! She‘s quiet & shy, preferring to spend time in her greenhouse or with animals at the local shelter. Devraj, a vampire with special talents of his own & a former Bollywood star, brings out her fire & spirit. Sparks fly while they save human girls being kidnapped by vampires.

Such a fun second book. Isadora's new vampire neighbor Devraj makes a terrible first impression when he hits her with his fancy car. But they're quickly forced to work together to save young local women from a group of kidnapping vampires.
I love how the way supernatural beings interact with the modern world feels as plausible as an world with a Tinder for vampires can. The romance built slowly, but was very steamy.
