The novels are set in 1930s Sydney mostly, about a rich artist & his group of bohemian friends that get entangled in mysteries & scandal. I had to wait more than two years for the audio version to be published, but it was worth it. I really liked the change of scenery and the slight but realistic character development of our beloved protagonists. I‘m anxious how the series will go on as we‘re definitely gearing up for WWII now and i really don‘t wanna see any of them go to war...

More international adventures for Rowland Sinclair and his friends, this time in the cultural melting pot of Shanghai. As is usual for this series, an entertaining plot was set against a fascinating and well researched background of the place and politics of the time. #ozfiction

It‘s 1935 & Rowly is in China representing his brother at wool negotiations until a murder happens & Rowland is under suspicion. Getting out of China may just prove harder than escaping Germany. Love this series so much, it‘s a local spin in cozy crime.
