Love so much. Amazing story and so much heart. Depth I wasn‘t expecting. Loved the story
I was expecting a rom-com, in reality this is a book about relationships, grief and lies we tell ourselves. At lot of stuff was packed into this book. Not a fan of the MC. She whined a lot about an unrequited love. But I enjoyed reading about this close knot set of friends. The plot was well done and I liked the pacing of it. 4⭐
I went into this thinking it was going to be a light rom-com (based on the book summary) but boy was I wrong! It was definitely more of an emotional story about friendship, rather than an unrequited love as the tag line suggests. Still a great story, looking forward to reading more by the author 💛
A story of friendship, unrequited love, secrets, and betrayal. I LOVED this book. The relationships between the four friends are complicated and bound by mistakes and hidden truths which are gradually revealed as the story progresses. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
I enjoyed this story, it's also sad, emotional with four friends dealing with their past and future. Secrets come out and the knowledge from this can't be changed which means the friendship between Eve, Justin, Susie and Ed will forever be different.
A good, interesting journey of loss as well as self awaking.

"I notice, once again, that company that‘s not the right fit for you is so much lonelier than being happily alone."
I finished this one last weekend. It wasn't quite the romance I thought. It's about a group of friends and the grief of losing someone. Of finding out a secret and seeing things and people differently. But I did really enjoy it. It is a British book with a British reader and it caused me to start thinking in an accent for some reason, which was funny. I haven't done that with other books with accents before. But this one stuck a bit. 🤷♀️
Eve and Susie were inseparable their entire lives.
You will be riveted by this story of the secrets and sacrifices of friendship, and the chances and choices that shape our lives. It is a story of relationships defined by savage, unexpected loss, and excavated truths. The luminous moments in this book sparkle like gems throughout the narrative, from astute comparisons with the mechanics of Gatsby to My Best Friend's Wedding.
Another enemies-to-lovers #Romance with a very sad twist right at the beginning.
After Pub Quiz Night the four friends part ways, but only three make it home. Eve's best friend dies after an accident that very same night.
Now the friends are confronted with the loss, the grief, the secrets, the misunderstandings, and all the questions that can never be answered. But, it could also be a chance at love.
Great writing.
TW: grief, child abuse
Sitting outside, in the sunshine. Both kids were allowed to go back to school today. From 0 to 100 for them, both started with a written exam in the morning, both have a long day ahead of them. Made a bento box (from scratch) for Kid#2.
Now, I'm - get your red pens out to mark your calendars - writing a TBR for the summer months. 😱

I really liked how this one progressed in the end, but I sort of wish it had started near the middle and gone on more at the end.
It‘s characters were well developed and exuded humor innately.
