Chaos: A Scarpetta Novel | 
pickIt was a little heavy in providing too much backstory for avid fans, it was a bit repetitive.That being said I loved spending more time in Scarpetta's world,I was pleased there was more crime scene and autopsy in this book than Depraved Heart, more in keeping with the usual Scarpetta books I enjoy reading.The end of this book blew my mind...I am still thinking about it days later! Overall,another enjoyable read in the Scarpetta series. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I loved this. So funny it only has a 44% ranking! And the ENDING! 🙈
Update : Had to bail...having spent a bit of time with this author at dinner when her first books came out.
I have followed this career of this intelligent, warm heated, charming woman ever since. But this work..she could have phoned it in. She was distracted about something else is all I can say.

So after struggling through this alllllll the way up until there were only 80 pages left, I had a little accident. Emailed the director of the owning library tonight to explain that it would be coming back in the bins a disaster and this is just a hint of our conversation.. 🤣 At any rate, Im not finishing the book. 😡 Didn't want to anyway haha 😅
Didn't want to wait any longer for the ebook so I just checked out the hard copy during my library shift today. I've been listening to the audiobook during my commute. I like Susan Erickson's style. So far the story is good but I'm really hoping the Carrie storyline ends soon
pickI still enjoy reading this series. Her characters aren't very likable anymore and there aren't many cases. I've heard Kay is heading back to Virginia maybe her old style will resurface.
I work retail and during the holiday season only have one day off a week. Today I finally have a day off with no plans to leave my place. What a better way to spend it then with a new Scarpetta adventure.
After a long week, finally able to relax and finish the latest Kay Scarpetta book! 🤘🍷📖 half way through and loving it!
pickI love Kay Scarpetta mysteries and this one did not disappoint. Alas, I read this one before realizing that I had skipped one. But, it's all good because now I have another Kay Scarpetta book to read. You will find a familiar psychopath in the pages of both books and I'm finding that reading them out of order is OK in this instance. There is a stinging twist at the end of Chaos, as there usually is in these books.

Cornwell always delivers cutting edge forensic science in her Scarpetta thrillers, and CHAOS is no different. The science is practically Crichton-esque. // I am now home reading in my recliner in my bedroom's reading nook waiting for grocery delivery.

Scarpetta is highly compassionate to the victims she examines; and though she maintains strict personal privacy she loves deeply those she lets into her inner circle. // Still reading this ms, on the way home from Cape May via Garden State Parkway. ❤️ my man who always happily drives us.
Halfway through and Scarpetta still hasn't been able to examine and bag the body. I'm now reading on the back porch at our friends' house in Cape May, with Rufus the standard poodle.
"If we can't recognize evil, then we can't say for sure it's not in our midst." I can't speak for Kay Scarpetta's Cambridge, MA, but I know for sure there is no evil here at Cape May Point, NJ right now. Just sun, sand, sea, and sky.
Scarpetta is feeling bleak -- to me, "not everybody" implies most people still do. What a burden she carries.
