This book is definitely not for everyone but I devoured jt… it was dark and menacing but light and loving at the same time! And the spice… off the charts!! I can‘t wait to read more of this series!!!

I can see why this gets so much hate. Alex is toxic, cruel, manipulative... let's face it, he's a walking red flag. Without spoiling for anyone that hasn't read, if I was Ava, I would have avoided Alex like the plague, the guy is a complete fucking dick.
That being said, I devoured this. It was seriously addictive! The spice also made me blush in Starbucks 🫠🤦♀️
I will read the rest of the series as I liked Ava's friends.
I feel like I‘ve been seeing this book everywhere recently, and so when I wanted a spicy romance I thought I‘d give it a go.
Conclusion: it‘s okay. It did not have that “can‘t put it down” factor for me, which I usually get with this genre! Spoilers in comments of plot things which bothered me.
I suspect that the rest of this series is better as Huang‘s writing improves.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book! 4/5 stars!! Can‘t wait To continue the series
2.5 out of 5. Story was ok but Alex Volkov.....😖 that kinda toxicity is not my cuppa tea!
4/5 🌟
Cute grumpy x sunshine romance, but also super spicy. I loved Ava and Alex together and how he helped her deal with trauma. Gets surprisingly dark halfway through. Fast paced and easy to read, the plot and twists were unpredictable and the ending was so fitting and had a nice HEA.
This one fell extremely flat for me. Too predictable and quite boring.
Does anyone else love coloring while listening to audiobooks? It‘s so enjoyable and relaxing! ⭐️🩷
Loved this book. Quick, short read. Loved the twist at the end.

First book of the “Twisted” series. 4.5⭐️out of 5.
This was my first New Adult book, which is maybe why I liked the cheesiness and the clichés so much. Some people don‘t like the book, because they think the relationship is too toxic and unrealistic. Even though I get the point, I really think you have to differentiate between fact and fiction here. That is why I still think the book sets a great start for the whole series and is worth reading.
“I pressed my fist to my mouth as the lyrics flowed over me.“
Singing is the only thing he refused to do. Now he is singing at a public event to win her back. 🎤🥹
“I‘ll kill any man that touches you.“
“I would burn down the world for you.“
Ladies and gentlemen (and non binary people): Alex ‘Billionaire with a B‘ Volkov.
Even if it‘s really cheesy, admit it…you secretly like it! 🫠
“Not a hint of sunshine or life to be found.“
When he calls her sunshine, but he has to lie to her to keep her save. And now she‘s gone.
I really loved Ava's sassyness and her character growth. I have a bit mixed feelings about this book: Alex wanted to control and I don't like how that kind of toxic behaviour is romanticized.
I loved cute scenes!
I still had so much fun while reading this, I was entertained. I just really don't want anyone to end up in toxic relationship after this kind of romanticing. So like I said, I have really mixed feelings.

Newest book haul from Barnes and Noble ❤️ Shout out to my boyfriend to walking around the store and carrying my books for me for an hour 🥰
So I don't know how to feel about this book. It was kind of predictable. It is filled with cliché storyline. Revenge, broken friendship, dead parents, abusive partner, stalker etc. It wasn't terrible, but I was expecting more due to the hype. It was simply meh for me. Maybe I'll continue with the series. Maybe I won't. I'm not sure, but right now, I'm going to stay away from it for a bit.
Don‘t you love when you get sucked into a world and all you want to do is stay there? But reality tells you to come out and ruins everything lol.
Ava‘s brother‘s best friend, Alex, is assigned to look after her. Ava tries to get emotion out of Alex‘s icy demeanor, & she succeeds. They learn of each other‘s demons, will they get past them together?
This was kind of worth the hype. I liked the characters & their chemistry: cute, spicy, & funny. I enjoyed the plot, but the writing could‘ve been a little better. I will let you how the 2nd one goes.

Not for me! I don't like to be too critical....who am I to criticise an author... but this felt rushed, cliched and the relationships were unhealthy and toxic... just not my cuppa tea at all. Although apparently the rest of the Twisted series is better...?
Waiting for my daughter as she is at her tutor and getting some reading in.... sadly, so far, the coffee is much better than the book... but I'll persevere.... apparently it gets better🤷♀️
grumpy x sunshine, some predictable moments, but excellent angst. miss ana knows what she's doing to keep readers hooked the entire time. ava and alex?? one of the best couples ever.
Solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ romance read. Plenty of twists and turns. And spicy! Y‘all know I love my spicy romance reads. This was the perfect distraction while hanging out at the hospital. Hoping this ends soon and we can all go home.

A grumpy alpha/brother‘s best friend romance with a side of revenge and mystery. This book was so good. There‘s so much happening with Ava getting to know Alex as more than the serious businessman she‘s always thought her brother‘s friend to be and Alex, who has tried to turn off all emotions after losing his family growing to care about Ava. There‘s dark undercurrents throughout the book with understanding motivations and I couldn‘t put it down.
Did like that part where Alex publicly sings for Ava. While many people seemed to find that scene cheesy...I loved that bit. (edited) 2mo
