Wrong Kind of Girl (Sweet Valley High #10)
Wrong Kind of Girl (Sweet Valley High #10) | Francine Pascal
7 posts | 11 read
She's the wrong kind of girl... Jessica Wakefield knows that "Easy Annie" is bad for the Sweet Valley High cheering squad. Annie Whitman may have the looks, talent, and spirit to be a cheerleader, but she also has the worst reputation in school. She goes out with a different boy every night, and Jessica isn't about to sully her squad's image by letting Annie on the team. But Elizabeth, Jessica's twin, knows that there is more to Annie than just her reputation. But can she change her sister's mind before Jessica shatters Annie's dreams? From bestselling author Francine Pascal.

2✨ This was definitely not my favorite. It was very repetitive and dull. The only blood pumping moment was the last maybe 3 chapters. This plot was believable, but pretty extreme for the situation. Plus recovery was really very fast. #SeriesLove

Getting on the cheerleading squad is a matter of life and death..literally.
Kindle Unlimited has the Sweet Valleys and I'm sucked in to the ridiculous! 😂 Yet, I loved these books when I was younger and I can't help but reread. 🤘

Susannah Jessica Wakefield was a menace to society! 🤣 Also, is it me, or is Annie Whitman a dead ringer for mid-Eighties Courteney Cox?? 6y
Rachbb3 @Susannah Yes she does!! 😂 6y

Ya'll I fell down the SVH rabbit hole when I decided to use it for my twin prompt. Still amazing and awful. I forgot how big a psychopath jesssica is and what a wimp Elizabeth is. Hahaha not at all good but a rocking good time. svh 1-11 read so far... waiting for regina to overdose...

Vertabrain Omg...I lived for these books in Middle School a hundred years ago!! 7y

#FierceFeb Day 17: This is the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the #Cheerleader prompt for today. This gives me such a nostalgic vibe, truth be told. I also wrote about my reflections on re-reading SVH in my late 30s back in 2015 here: https://gatheringbooks.org/2015/02/28/revisiting-sweet-valley-high-in-my-late-30...

TommieMarie74 I loved your blog post. I too devoured these books when I was young. They felt “racy” to me, but also familiar. I related a lot to Liz and her need to be the “good daughter” while sometimes wishing she (and I) could be a little like Jessica. Such a great series. Your post here and your blog brought up some great memories. ❤️😊 7y
batsy Yay, we picked the same 😁❤️ Yup, it's all nostalgia for me too! Gonna read your blog post! 7y

#badhairday - may I just say, I am thoroughly enjoying reading through the Sweet Valley High series? These books are so ridiculously bad but oh so amazing at the same time. Once I hit book 12, almost all of the series is now available on kindle unlimited. I have a feeling I'm going to crush my Goodreads goal very early this year! #sweetvalley #SVH #twins

awishman Loved these growing up. Are a Jessica or an Elizabeth? 8y
JenlovesJT47 @awishman Jessica has always been my favorite, even though she's an evil shrew in the earlier books. Things are more balanced in the later books. Never understood why they had such extremes in the beginning with Jess being a psycho and Liz being a saint 😈😇 8y
awishman I was Elizabeth, but I wanted to be Jessica! 8y
JenlovesJT47 @awishman I hear ya! I've always been more like Liz, maybe that's why Jessica is my favorite! 8y
