Despite the ten-year age gap and the differences in their backgrounds, Bailey was meant to be with Logan - she's sure of it. It's natural that they should marry as soon as they can. But when Logan brings Bailey home to his magnificent estate on ninety wooded acres, her dreams of happily-ever-after begin to unravel. She can't ignore the rumours about what happened to Logan's first wife and then when a local woman goes missing, all signs point to her husband. Has Bailey made a terrible mistake trusting Logan? What happened to his first wife? Suddenly Bailey is facing an impossible decision: should she believe what everyone is saying, or should she bet her life on the man she loves, but hardly knows? Complex, compulsively readable and utterly thrilling, The First Wife is the sensational new novel from the internationally bestselling author Erica Spindler.

Filled with suspense! Bailey marries a man she meets on her vacation, but when she gets to his ranch, she finds out a lot of death has been haunting his family. The local police chief blames it all on her husband, Logan. Who and what should she believe.

“What did she expect? She‘d married a stranger” - an actual quote from the protagonist & what I‘ve been thinking for the first 10 chapters I‘ve made it through 🤦‍♀️

I have been an Erica Spindler fan for a long, long time. Coming across this as an audio book was a treat, because I knew I could listen while getting things done, and not have to worry about zoning out.

But I zoned. This is good, but just not as thrilling as I've come to expect. I guessed the killer, although there are a few twists which drew me back.

If you want a quick, easy read, consider this one. Not too scary for a thriller.

Very good book and story line. Seemed to take a while to really get going for me. Not her best book thats for sure but I'm still a fan. I felt like the book could have been shorter and that it went around in circles but overall I think it was good.

Does anyone else have a favourite audiobook narrator? Mine would without a doubt, have to be Tavia Gilbert. I have enjoyed every single audiobook I've listened to, that she's narrated. How about you? #audiobook #narrator #taviagilbert

This audiobook was so good! Although I figured out #whodunit before the fist half of the book was over, it was still very suspenseful. Definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sitting here in the peace and quiet and starting a new book. Wonder why I have so many "wife-ish" books on my Kindle? It must be an author trend, kinda like "Girl" was last year ?

JoeStalksBeck This is a pretty good book:) 7y
