pickThis was good, close to so-so but I liked seeing how the trio of friends ended up enough that it pushed it to a pick. I really like the hero here, the heroine was a little much for me. I loved how the friends support and root for each others. You don't need to read the others to enjoy this story. London is just looking for a one-night stand when she meets her high school nemesis at a reunion. But of course, it becomes more. pickMy fave book of the series! My only quibble is how long it took London to get over her issues with Drew, especially as he didn‘t do anything to earn her ire. That said, it was fun and I loved that there wasn‘t a last minute issue to cause a problem before our happy ending.
pickI started up my NetGalley again, just so I could read this book! I really enjoyed this romance series of 3 badass women becoming besties because they were all unknowingly dating the same dude. This is London‘s story, who is a doctor and Drew who is a consultant. The story ended a bit weird for me. It had the romance ending but it was a bit abrupt.
This is out in August 2022, and could be used for Romance by a BIPOC author #pop22
pickSuper cute enemies to lovers romance. I liked everything about this book. London Kelley, MD is not looking for anything but a fling when she decides to sleep with her high school nemesis. At the core of this book is an important conversation about healthcare access and poverty. I enjoyed the fact that it was a story featuring Black love and social issues without it being about race. I loved how both London and Drew were confident and successful.
