Keera is a killer. As the King's Blade, she is the most talented spy in the kingdom. And the King's favored assassin. When a mysterious figure called the Shadow starts making moves against the Crown, Keera is forced to hunt the masked menace down. She crosses into the magical lands of the Fae, trying to discern if her enemy is Mortal, Elf, or a Halfling like her. But the Faeland is not what it seems, and neither is the Shadow. Keera is shocked by what she discovers and can't help but wonder who her enemy truly is... The King that destroyed her people? The Prince that tortures them? Or the Shadow that threatens her place at court? As she searches for answers, Keera is haunted by a promise she made long ago. A promise not only to save herself but an entire kingdom.

Now this was a page turner. I saw Victoria Aveyard rave about this on TT and I ran to get it immediately - she did not steer me wrong. Fantastic world building and an intriguing main character. Really good tense action. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I coordinated this week‘s #WeeklyForecast better with #ThingsInCommon, so hopefully I can stick to this plan. 🤣🤞🏻 #awesomeapril

Clwojick Yeah, I deviated from my #thingsincommon plan, and my reading got a little chaotic 😂 Good luck! (edited) 13mo

Another solid high fantasy read. Keera is a really strong FMC with her own flaws that make her a believable and likable character. This is the first book in a series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Keera is a total badass but she also has her flaws, including guilt that she tries to tamp down with too much alcohol, much to her disservice. And a promise she made long ago to someone important still haunts her even now. There are some fun twists that will also keep you guessing all the way til the end. Overall, this is a solid start to a new series and I look forward to the next volume in this story.

How to review a book that‘s written anonymously and can‘t be searched?
A BROKEN BLADE: The Halfling Saga - currently by anonymous - name will be revealed?
Why do I torture myself…. It‘s part of a damned SAGA and I just powered through it without thinking about how long it may be before the next one comes out! Was it worth it? Yes! Do I regret it? Also yes! But it was an amazing read!
