Thanks to the #ThingsinCommon reading challenge last month, I devoured a bunch of books from my NetGalley and Chirp audiobook apps. I finished my 2022 goal of reading/listening to 100 of such books, and now I‘m hoping to double it!

KristiAhlers I just finished a 100 read challenge and now I‘m down to only 43 unread books on my kindle. 🤣 I don‘t think that counts as hoarding since I don‘t have to make space for it. 7mo
Clwojick @KristiAhlers Wow! Only 43! Way to go! I have over 500 audiobooks, and about 2500 kindle downloads. I seriously need to work on lowering those numbers. 😅 7mo
BethM @KristiAhlers I agree that it doesn‘t count as hoarding! 7mo
RedxoHearts I need to make a goal like that! My kindle runneth over. 😂 I also have had way too many samples of books on my kindle that I finally started working through. I started out with almost 200 and I'm down to 80. 7mo

Seeing everyone's posts for their #ThingsInCommon challenge has me thinking about similarities between books I'm reading. I thought I'd share this similarity because it seems so unlikely that I would read two books back to back with this: Jewish escape tunnels. #coincidence

Clare-Dragonfly That makes me want to read Ink and Bone! 7mo
Kenyazero @Clare-Dragonfly it's been a fun read so far because of its creative reimagining of libraries and books. It hasn't really had a wow factor for me yet, but that's not necessarily a terrible thing. 7mo

April reads summary

I've had to bail on the tagged audiobook despite being fascinated, I found the author'svoice distracting. I will pick it up again but in book format. It is a remarkable piece of work.

I discovered, joined and loved the #pemberlittens April reads.

The tagged book is the last to finish from April's #thingsincommon challenge Thanks for hosting @Clwojick twas fun 😃❤️

My planned list for May's #bookspinbingo challenge. This time I have some serious chunksters so spread them over a few selections. 500+ pages over 2 choices, 800+ pages over 3 choices. Hope that makes sense @TheAromaofBooks

TheAromaofBooks Woohoo!! And I'm all about spreading out those chunksters to make them feel more worthwhile! 😂 7mo

Thanks @Clwojick for hosting April‘s #ThingsInCommon challenge
I managed to connect 26 books to completer a FULL circle!!! I was able to knock off lots of “older” books from my TBR & some ARCs too!! While I enjoyed the challenge, I‘m ready to go back to less rigid reading choices.

Megabooks Way to stick with it!! 7mo
Nutmegnc Impressive! 7mo
Cinfhen Thanks @Megabooks @Nutmegnc 💕💕 7mo

Yup. I'm calling it.
I make a point sometimes to read books with controversy around it because I'm just nosy and wanna know why. I don't even think I made it to any seriously bad parts in this because I'm SO bored. It's like the author took everything that could possibly be repulsive, offensive, or horrific and said "Sure, why not?" But not in a good way. I mean, fainting couches on the street so you can safely pass out from starvation? Come on

FantasyChick This had the possibility to be a decent book for me because I do enjoy taboo and triggering content but it would need a new setting, new characters, new mentality....it'd just need to be a while new book. I didn't even get to meet Thirteen yet because I just don't care anymore. At least it was a just a curiosity read and nothing I was looking forward to 🤷‍♀️ 7mo
FantasyChick #aestheticallymatched #bookspinbingo #ThingsInCommon Death of the Black Widow + The Pawn and the Puppet = Published April 2022 @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks 7mo
TheAromaofBooks At least it's off the list!!! 7mo
