so-soWas way more into the book when it focused on their fake relationship. Except the spice, which felt forced and awkward. I felt myself bored with the rest of it + really disliking Nina + her friends. So much that it made the story drag on and feel like one massive eye roll. Leo had some nice qualities (I really liked his focus on mental health) but otherwise, his family was my favorite part. Left a lot to be desired. The puns were on point tho!
so-soAbout half way through so far & I‘m loving the chemistry & dates! However, if these two MF-ers say “I couldn‘t help but wonder what it meant” when the other shows affection ONE MORE TIME 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I‘m gonna call the book cops! How could you be so CLUELESS?! Miscommunication is not cute!!!

Tonight Pippin and I are starting this fake dating, enemies-to-lovers, GBBO inspired romance. I have this book and one graphic novel to read and I'll have finished all my 2023 reading challenges! Pip is just happy that it's an ebook, so I have a hand free to give him belly rubs.

panI really wanted to like this book, I enjoyed the parts about cooking and reality TV, but the main characters are blah for me - I hate miscommunication as a romance plot device.
Nina and Leo both need to save their respective restaurants but when Nina walks off their TV show they agree to fake date to try to save their businesses. Miscommunication leads to a lot of boring filler.
1.5/5 stars, wanted to like, but just couldn‘t.
During the #reversereadathon I managed to read the last 221 pages of Thank You for Listening, the first 80 pages of For Butter or Worse, and just a bit of my eARC of Forget Me Not. It definitely helped give me a reading boost! @DeweysReadathon
pickI wonderful rom com. With enemies to lovers, but they are the hosts of a cooking show and have to fake date their way to PR redemption. I loved both the characters, and all the side characters. Well paced with punny and fun banter, and the added depth of tackling mental health and treatment of women by the media this is a great book and I can't recommend enough.
