I don‘t know what it was but this one just didn‘t hit for me… so many other, better witchy romcoms out there, in my opinion!

There are a lot of witchy romances out there and not all of them are great. But I thought this one was so unique and well written. Essie and her coven have some quirky magical powers and I loved their house with a mind of it's own. She and Josh have great chemistry but they both have past traumas that they need to process, while also trying to stop an evil monster spirit from ending the world.

Not my favorite witchy rom-com, but it was very entertaining! Great characters and setting.

I had a hard time with the narrator at times, but I enjoyed the story a lot!
I wasn‘t sure if I‘d like it when I started the book but once we got to the part about frostbite on some naughty bits, I was so in!
Josh is an American running away from a bad relationship/job/life and moves into the old house his dad left him in a village in Essex, England.
Essie is a witch who makes sure winter shows up and keeps her witchy roommates semi-functional.
They hit it off immediately but Josh‘s ancestor has something to say about it.
This was a really cute book! A lot of fun for spooky season! 3.5/5
Husband: What are you doing?
Me: Grabbing my kindle.
Husband: ?
Me: It‘s going to take a while for them to put new tires on my car. What else am I going to do?
Husband: *shakes head* Gotcha….
Now I sit at Discount Tire starting a new book…
