pickOnce again the fact that I am reading the 57th book in a series and am still thoroughly entertained by it, amazes me. While this wasn't up among my very favorites, it was still engrossing and kept me up way too late. If you like great mysteries, with some romance and humour, check out this series...but start with the first one “Naked in Death“. Do not be afraid of the fact it is set in the near future as it does not read as a Sci-fi. 4.25/5!

Favorite two were The Holy Bible and Payback In Death
pick57 books in this series and it's still good and going strong, in my opinion. Eve and Roarke just gets back from their 3 year anniversary trip, when Eve gets notified about a death. An IAB retired cop is found died at his house, that appears to be a suicide. Soon, Eve is enthralled in the investigation.
Eve and Peabody investigate with the help of the bullpen, EDD, and Roarke. The Magic Lining saves a cop. Mav's and Peabody's house is coming ⬇️
Someone had either kidnapped the sun or decided screw the ransom and killed it dead.
