Oh this was amazing! I am a true sociologist and found this so fascinating. To get this kind of insight into sociopathy is rare. “What are sociopaths? ….Human beings in need of compassion.” Book #80 in 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An emotionally charged and heartfelt story about women who found strength in each other while escaping abuse. Their secrets weren‘t signs of weakness or wrongdoing, but reflections of the pain they carried and the lives they had survived. Those experiences became the driving force that pushed them to protect and uplift other women. The underground network they built was inspiring. Book #80 in 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I decided to continue this series as I'm re- reading the whole thing with #InDeathLongReadathon with @StayCurious. This one is #57, which only tells you how popular they are as she keeps on writing them. This one deals with police suicide which is a big problem in the police force. Squeezed in 4 hours of audio booking time today to complete my #10BeforeTheEnd 🤓
Realized I had read 79 books in 2024, which is just too wonky of a number so I decided to break my rule and count a children‘s book for #80, which I‘m okay with because my goal was 75 books. I hit that goal without including any children‘s books so one sweet story at the end is okay by me.

Magic, time travel, a little gore that came out of nowhere, and overall fantastic writing!!! I enjoyed every bit of this book (ok minus the gore but it made the villain as scary as she needed to be). A battle of good vs evil with vivid descriptions and a likable cast of characters. If you loved Addie LaRue, you‘ll love Cassie! Book #80 in 2024
A dual timeline thriller about a woman who escapes a cult. A decent storyline, but I get frustrated when women make stupid decisions- luckily this one didn‘t have too many bimbos. Lots of drama and some good female badassery at the end, 3.5 stars for me! Book #80 in 2023
Book #80
This is a really simple, and yet complex, YA book which I could have used when I was a kid. The main character is a young girl who is bullied by peers, and even family members. It is an insightful look into how society's deeply ingrained fat phobia manifests itself, and how those of us who struggle with our weight can be made to feel "lesser than". How we adapt by, for example, trying to make ourselves "small" or "invisible" to others.
I was immediately roped in by exceptional writing. The plot and characters were fantastic. I DEVOURED this novel. I guessed both twists, but that came with gratification that I was right. I‘m an Ashley Poston fan for life now!!!

I don't know what I was expecting from this, but being the first memoir of sorts from our Harry Potter kids it didn't disappoint. Felton shares good and bad experiences from his life before, during and after Potter with an honesty that's surprising and leaves us at the end by sharing his vulnerability. Well worth the read. #80-2022
