The Book of Doors | Gareth Brown

Magic, time travel, a little gore that came out of nowhere, and overall fantastic writing!!! I enjoyed every bit of this book (ok minus the gore but it made the villain as scary as she needed to be). A battle of good vs evil with vivid descriptions and a likable cast of characters. If you loved Addie LaRue, you‘ll love Cassie! Book #80 in 2024

An Honest Lie | Tarryn Fisher

A dual timeline thriller about a woman who escapes a cult. A decent storyline, but I get frustrated when women make stupid decisions- luckily this one didn‘t have too many bimbos. Lots of drama and some good female badassery at the end, 3.5 stars for me! Book #80 in 2023

Book #80
This is a really simple, and yet complex, YA book which I could have used when I was a kid. The main character is a young girl who is bullied by peers, and even family members. It is an insightful look into how society's deeply ingrained fat phobia manifests itself, and how those of us who struggle with our weight can be made to feel "lesser than". How we adapt by, for example, trying to make ourselves "small" or "invisible" to others.

I was immediately roped in by exceptional writing. The plot and characters were fantastic. I DEVOURED this novel. I guessed both twists, but that came with gratification that I was right. I‘m an Ashley Poston fan for life now!!!

I don't know what I was expecting from this, but being the first memoir of sorts from our Harry Potter kids it didn't disappoint. Felton shares good and bad experiences from his life before, during and after Potter with an honesty that's surprising and leaves us at the end by sharing his vulnerability. Well worth the read. #80-2022

22 #80 This is the first of a trilogy I believe. Historical fiction with a Christian slant. Very well done. Can‘t wait to get into the next one.

I first read Mitch Albom in college and then devoured all of his books, it‘s been more than 10 years and I found him again. This was a strange story of the sinking of a ship and survival. The story is so interesting, I could not put it down. I enjoyed the characters and the unexpected ending. All of us require faith whether we believe or not in a higher power and this book makes you really think about your own life, if you allow. Book #80 in 2021

This was a great story, but I'm not so sure of the narrator reading this on the audio. Often drifted off while listening
