1* the tagged classic my mom got for me at a used bookstore when I was on a work trip to Pittsburgh and she met me there to spend some time together. I love Audubon‘s watercolors 🥰
2* I can‘t think of anything specific, but probably all the books I was forced to read in college lit.
3* Good Omens... the side chats kind of distracted and bored me. Probably an unpopular opinion.

I am grateful for John James Audubon and his extraordinary bird and nature art
I bought this as part of a haul from my library‘s used bookstore yesterday. It‘s a 1950 edition, all in color albeit a little yellowed. I got it for only $2!!!!
Here are two illustrations (blue jay & Canada warbler) from Birds of America by John James Audubon. This is the 1947 edition passed down from my Grandpa to my father to me. Although if my brother asks it's still our father's book 🕊

pickRegarding Audubon? What a talent. Regarding his subject matter? What a beautiful world. The wren was my grandma‘s favorite bird. Each spring, upon hearing its song, she would call me and say, “Naomi, my wren is back.” A beloved memory as we approach spring. 🌷🌸😊
