I‘ve read and enjoyed several of his others, but not this one. Has anyone read it?

I couldn‘t stand this book, or the audio book. His editor must have bailed, too.
Heavy subject matter; TW for sexual assault/abuse, suicide, and child abuse
Despite the heaviness of the book (both figuratively and literally), I really enjoyed it and looked forward to the way Lamb tied in each of the characters to each other. I looked forward to picking up the book again to continue reading it.
🚥 I‘m not going to lie. This is a very difficult book to read. It contains child sexual abuse, child battery, explicit sex, racial violence, and more.
Meet the Oh family—nonconformist, Anna; her ex-husband, Orion, a psychologist; Ariane, the do-gooder daughter, and her twin, Andrew, the rebellious only son; and free-spirited Marissa, the youngest. And they are all very screwed up.
Wally Lamb writes with such compassion and empathy.
Lucky that #LetsTravelJuly meant the grandchildren and their parents traveled to us this time. Spent a lot of time on the #water. This pic of sunset from July 4, waiting for fireworks to begin. Tagged book from Wally Lamb is on my list to re-read some day. Love all his books. @OriginalCyn620 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
Wally Lamb's books are difficult to review -- they are sprawling and intricate and layered. This is about marriage and family, told through the alternating voices of the Oh family: Annie, an artist; Orion, her psychologist ex-husband; and their 3 children. But it's also about gay rights, and social issues, and class disparities, and societal changes. I have a high bar for Lamb's books. I liked this one, but I didn't love it.
CURRENTLY READING “WE ARE WATER”, BY WALLY LAMB. NOW I KNOW WHY HE‘S ONE OF MY FAVOURITE AUTHORS. AMAZING WRITING ❤️
Day 23: We are Water by Wally Lamb: multiple narrators done well; Annie is leaving her husband of 27 years for her female publicist; POV = hers, Orion (husband) and their son; about the secrets we carry & the damage they cause #31Books #BooksIRecommend

I'm really torn on this book. Some parts I loved and some I hated.... part of me will never love another of his books as I did I Know This Much is True.
Read More Books... Drink More Beer... Back to work tomorrow 😔
Boy... What a book. I absolutely love Wally Lamb, he is becoming one of my favorite authors, and this book is awesome. Lamb has a talent of making you root for imperfect, flawed, sometimes highly unlikable characters. I listened to this one as an audiobook and it's so worth it, especially since Lamb is doing the voice of Orion Oh himself. My favorite Lamb book remains "I know this much is true" so far, but I have two still left to read!
Book + wood stove + ice cream + Friday = nirvana.
I absolutely loved this. Anyone that knows me knows I am a big fan of Wally Lamb (literally I make everyone read him)! His only fault in my eyes is that he doesn't have enough books and so I have rationed them over the years and now I've finished 😞. Anyway this one didn't fail to impress. I won't ruin any of the story, but for me he is the modern day existentialist! Yet another thrilling study of human character. I loved every minute! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My absolute favourite thing ever is when Wally Lamb refers to other characters from his other books. It's like a secret Wally Lamb club and I am one of the proud members 👌🏼👏🏻✌🏼👍🏼
Started reading this yesterday. I absolutely love Wally Lamb books. Can't believe it's taken me this long to get around to reading this one. #litsyAtoZ #letterW
I didn't mind this book..how a family struggles with different things that happened in their lives..and how they feel about their mother divorcing their dad to marry another woman...I found it dragged in a lot of parts..and Lloyd in all that's just my opinion.

I'm trying. I really am...but OMG THE OVER-ACTING IS KILLING ME!!! 🙄😡🙄😡 (Is that even a thing in audio?) Not bailing yet but I'm close. I'm at a point in the book where it seems like the narrator is a teenage drama queen trapped in an adult woman's body. Oy vey. #fiction #audio #audiobooks
When your best friend recommends a book and/or author and feels the need to say "By the way, I'm sorry in advance," you know it's going to be good.
A key into how I organize my books. This is in the bathroom. Because that's hilarious. Not in any way a statement about quality.
