Also, I've been quiet here due to peanut getting kidney failure and declining in a matter of wks. Her care took up basically all of my free time-- feedings, medicine, baths, you name it. It takes more time than you'd think.

She passed last Thursday. I miss her but she was suffering terribly. It was no way to live and the vets determined her health was too far along after a point. You can see she was too weak to lift her head even. 😭

We all want to fit in, but some take it a little too far.

Soooo this book. What do I even say? This was the story of a HS girl who changes schools and fakes a peanut allergy to seem more interesting. I was ok with it for a little bit and then some really weird, insensitive, stereotypical comments were made (including the one pictured which is the nurse after finding out the truth) that REALLY turned me off. I gave it a so-so, but by the end I was pretty disgusted.

Pretty good read. I thought it did a great job depicting the awkwardness of keeping a secret, and of being that age and wanting to fit in. I liked the artwork as well.
