Star Trek VI
Star Trek VI: Undiscovered Country | J.M. Dillard
1 post | 2 read | 1 to read
Internal pressures, enormous military expenditures, and the destruction of their primary energy source have brought the Klingon Empire to the verge of catastrophic collapse. To avert disaster, Gorkon, Chancellor of the Klingon High Council, proposes negotiations between the Federation and Klingon Empire, negotiations that will put an end to the years of hostility between the two powers, and herald a new era of peace and cooperation. Captain James T. Kirk and the U.S.S. Enterprise are dispatched to escort the Chancellor safely into Federation space. But a treacherous assassination brings negotiations to a sudden halt and places Kirk and Dr. McCoy in the hands of the Federation's greatest enemy. With time running out, Spock and the Enterprise crew work to uncover the deadly secret that threatens to propel the galaxy into the most destructive conflict it has ever known.

Welcome to #MentalHealthMonday! What are you doing today to take care of your mental health? So far I've watched Star Trek with friends & spent time with my husband. I'm about to excercise & maybe take a nap. Taking care of our mental health will be vital in the coming weeks, months, & beyond. We still live in an "f your feelings" society & it's likely to get worse. Making mental health a priority is one way to fight back.

Megabooks I did not watch the inauguration and stayed on social media only for fun things like books. No doom scrolling! I also took a nap. 9h
Librarybelle I‘ve read all day, after shoveling snow from the storm my area received yesterday. 9h
Kerrbearlib @Megabooks sounds like a lovely day! No doom scrolling is a great idea! Thank you for sharing! (edited) 9h

Kerrbearlib @Librarybelle we got snow here, too. That‘s great that you read all day after shoveling. Thank you for sharing! 9h
DebinHawaii I‘m at work (at home) today & trying to stay off any media or social media besides Litsy. Also trying to keep hydrated & eat well/healthy. I did not do a good job sleeping last night so I may try for 30 minutes of napping at lunch. Tonight I‘m going to keep staying away from news & social media & try to relax & do something artsy-craftsy & go to bed early because I have an early flight tomorrow. 9h
TheBookHippie I made a post. We are snowed in -probably for the week. No tv socials or news.. nope. 6h
Sace What a much needed hashtag/weekly event. I spent the day on Litsy, listening to One Fell Sweep on audio, redoing a reading journal page, writing some letters, listening to Vince Guaraldi, hanging with hubby and reading. I‘ve got two snow days ahead of me so I‘ll just repeat today‘s activities until the “snow” clears up (it we even get the expected 2”….don‘t laugh. Snow is serious business in AL 🤣) 4h
Kerrbearlib @TheBookHippie very wise with no TV socials or news. Stay safe with the snow! 3h
Kerrbearlib @DebinHawaii have a good flight tomorrow! I didn't sleep well last night either. Good for you for hydrating and eating healthy, very important for physical and mental health! 3h
Kerrbearlib @Sace sounds like a great day! That's very cool that you're writing some letters! I've decided I'm going to start having pen-pals again and writing more letters. We got snow here too in Maine, but it was a bit more lol. I stacked One Fell Sweep! 3h
