Congratulations @CSeydel on you special milestone, and thanks for paying it forward with the #12345 Giveaway!!
My bookish anecdote is that when I was in elementary school I always read ahead (especially when we took turns reading aloud), and I always got in trouble for it. The nuns had very little patience for intelligence.
Congratulations on a fun milestone @CSeydel. Thanks for the chance to win! #12345
My bookish anecdote: when I was 10, I read Gone with the Wind for the first time. I stayed up all night reading it under the covers with a flashlight, way past my bedtime. I got caught because I was sobbing so loudly I woke up my mom at 3am.
My mom would also catch me reading in the closet when I was suppose to be doing chores.
Congrats @CSeydel on your fun litfluence number #12345 #giveaway When my kids were little I took them to Border‘s to see SPOT ( a beloved book/ character) when my son, Eric saw a 6ft SPOT standing on two feet, he had a meltdown. He was so spooked by the sight of a costumed SPOT, I had to remove all of the SPOT books from his bedroom. He NEVER looked at another SPOT book after that day 😂

My book-related anecdote would have be when I wasn't sure what to get for Christmas. Then I browsed through the Kindle e-readers on Best Buy. Before that, I didn't really like reading, but ever since I got my first Kindle (a Kindle Touch), I really enjoyed reading. But years later, I remembered getting it as an excuse for not doing my homework instead of playing video games.
When I saw this post by @CSeydel , I remembered it from my childhood! I love those moments; It‘s like greeting an old friend. Friends, to celebrate her awesome #12345 milestone, a giveaway is going on! 💖 My funny literary story involves me saying to a friend when I was in high school: “I can‘t think of the word I want to use... it sounds like epiphany... I think it‘s ‘epi-tomey.” And he said, “do you mean epitome?” 😂
Congrats @CSeydel and thank you for your super generous #12345 giveaway!
Entertaining book related anecdote?
I fell asleep reading a hard cover chunkster. As I dozed off the book slipped from my hands and the corner of the book hit me square in the eye. Resulting in my first and only black eye. The worst part? I‘m a domestic violence specialist. “I got it reading” apparently doesn‘t sound like a plausible explanation. 🙄
