My 2 copies of this book. The UK edition was from a swap but I forgot or lost the note where I use to write the swap and who sent it to me.

I enjoyed this book and as always, love the way Mr. King describes the characters. An interesting sci fi novel. However, I think it was unnecessarily too long but who will tell that to this author?☺️So hard for Luke. I like the relationship between these characters. Some little gory scenes as expected😆3.8⭐️

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but I loved the combination of personal story, shared experience and self-help/instruction to this. HBM isn't trying to turn anyone into a scary, craggy witch. She just wants us all to find out inner magic that ties us to the magic of the world around us. Our magical bliss, so to speak. It's kind of beautiful. #47-2023

September #ROLL100 is going to be the first month I will actually be trying to participate if I'm not mistaken.

#4 will be rereading The Secret Wife by Emily Shiner for NG review
#47 is another reread for a NG review of A Girl Called Rumi
#79 is a reread of The Shadows for NG review

The running them is that half the books on my NG need rereading because I forgot to write reviews when I first read them. 🤦‍♀️

This book gave me ALL the feels, literally. I felt every emotion the characters felt; I laughed out loud, tears, warm fuzzies, gut wrenching heartache, and grief. Those are the signs of a great read, IMO. Carly Fortune gets 4.5 stars on both of her books; I‘m def a fan and hope she writes more! Book #47 in 2023

23 #47 This was the sequel to a book I read last year. And I do believe it was better than the first one. I love when that happens. But I expect nothing less from Pam Jenoff.

Retired police detective Tom Kettle is visited by officers investigating one of his unsolved cases, stirring up memories, both sweet & painful. It took me a while to get into the book, the narrative is very much in Tom‘s mind which wanders & occasionally hallucinates, making it difficult to get a grip on the story, but gradually it unfolds in all its horror & tragedy. It made me cry. It‘s a tough but worthwhile read. #52BookClub23 #SetinDublin

LeeRHarry I don‘t have set in Dublin as one of my prompts …mmmm now I‘m confused…🤔 best check out which one I made up 😆 11mo
CarolynM @LeeRHarry It‘s actually “set in the city of Dublin”, but I was running out of characters😆 Prompt no. 47 11mo
LeeRHarry @CarolynM thanks fortunately I‘d taken a screenshot - also written them in my journal - completely missed #47! 🤦🏼‍♀️😆 11mo

CarolynM @Cathythoughts It‘s good, I think, hope you like it. The weather has been all over the place for the last few weeks - wet and cold (by our standards) one day, pleasant and sunny the next. Today was a cold one, but they‘re forecasting 20 degrees for the next 2 days 🤷🏻‍♀️ 11mo
CarolynM @TrishB I think you‘d need a very hard heart to read this story without tears 11mo
CarolynM @Librarybelle Thank you 🙏 11mo

Book #47 done of for 2022. This book was great and lives up to the hype. I came of age way before iCarly so while I had seen it in passing I had never watched the show. It is impressive that Jeanette was able to overcome everything her mother did to her and break what I would believe is a generational curse for the ladies of her family. Highly recommend! Definitely in the Top 10 for books read so far this year.

AkashaVampie I just added it to my save list on Scribd. Can't wait to listen to it. 2y
Bekkers @AkashaVampie that's where I listened to it too! I LOVE Scribd!

I devoured this book in just over 24 hours, would‘ve been less if I didn‘t have obligations (ya know, kids, husband, work, lol). I‘ve read two other CH books and this became my favorite. I love the character development and how my senses picked up on every descriptor. Book #47 in 2022
