When I saw this week's list was 70s movies, I was sure I'd be at 10%. But I've seen more than I thought: I got 40%!

3 of my favorites:
1. The Muppet Movie
2. Young Frankenstein
3. Blazing Saddles

More books from the meeting rooms. I even had some in my hotel room but forgot to take a picture. 😅

Readable account of Britain in the Seventies, focusing largely on politics and industrial relations (which were pretty much the same thing back then). Factually accurate, fair handed, if not exactly riveting.

In case your coffee didn't wake you up I thought this vintage throwback 70s kitchen might do the trick.

Tamra Oh man, that would keep anyone awake at any time. 😵 6y
Gina @Tamra I can still see it when I close my eyes. 6y
Tamra @Gina it has its appeal in a very hallucinogenic way. 😆 6y

Gina @Tamra HA! You are spot on with that! 6y
wanderinglynn Wow! Can you imagine someone on LSD walking into that kitchen? 😳 6y
EadieB definitely an eye-opener! 6y
Gina @wanderinglynn my guess is the designer / owner was on LSD when they designed this.. 6y

#TinyDancer This darn Rolling Stone :the 70s book! I got it for a buck & think I don‘t need to keep it then I open it up & find another reason to keep it .This photo runs next to an article called “Discotheque to discomania”.Love it or hate it,so hard to escape disco in the #MarchIntoThe70s What brings “Don‘t leave me this Way” also spawned “Disco Duck”.

Freespirit I loved going to the disco in my twenties😊 6y
gradcat Such a fantastic picture 👍🥰 Oh, but wait—are you telling me that you don‘t love “Disco Duck”? 🦆 😂 (edited) 6y
Cinfhen Oh God!!! Forgot about Disco Duck 🙄😬🙄But awesome photo 6y
Leftcoastzen @Cinfhen I had almost forgotten about it ,then I read the article.😂 6y

I enjoyed this book but I didn't love it. Unfortunately, real life doesn't always make the best storyteller and I found the stories of holiday horror started with the severity ramped all the way up to 11 and they couldn't get better/worse from there so some of the tales felt as if you'd heard it before

There was plenty of funny stories but there was plenty of things being put in bottoms too

3 hours in so far. I listened to my audio book on my disaster of a run. I had to give up 5 mins early 😞 the book is ok though
