This book reminded me of the reason why I love crime fiction: the thrill. The pacing was great, and I was at the edge of my seat all the time I was reading it.There was even a night where my anxiety kicked in and I had to put this book down for a while because it was beginning to 'feed' it. 😅

North is definitely someone to watch out for! 🧐

Last month, I read The Whisper Man by Alex North—and holy smokes, this was a thrill ride. Might just be my favorite title my eyes have consumed this year, so far.

Father and young son seek a fresh start in a small town, but instead are swept up in the town‘s dark past—a past scarred by a serial killer.

I love scary stories.
I do not scare easily.
This book scared me.

This twisted tale gets 5/5 butterflies.

Holy macaroons! This book is awesome. Started listening last night and finished today (lots of progress on the blanket)! It reminded me of Tana French books...but better. A great psychological thriller with serial killers, a creepy kid, and a dad who who is trying to figure out how to be a single father. So good. I highly recommend you read if you haven‘t.

I finished today 'L'odissea raccontata da Penelope, Circe, Calipso e le altre' that is a nice retelling, but not as wonderful as I've imagined.
I'm planning my next reading and now I also have two new interesting books! Hope I will like them both! I'm pretty curious about the one regarding 'The Night Witches' during the WWII 🤩

I just want to start off by saying that I haven‘t read The Whisper Man so I cannot say how this book compares to that one. Because of that, I didn‘t have any expectations going into the book. I ended up really enjoying it.
