bailedAs much as I respected the unique writing style and loved the descriptions of Mount Lebanon and the surrounding areas, the way the narrator is written just kept pulling me out of the story. Also, there‘s a lot of details about the orange groves that I just found dull. If this wasn‘t a library book that I have to return soon, I‘d probably try to keep going, but I have other library books to read as well.

bailed#unpopularopinion I know a lot of people really enjoyed this book, but it's just not doing it for me. Maybe it's because I've just listened to two mysteries, I'm burnt out on solving murders, or maybe Lafferty isn't an author for me. I also bailed on The Shambling Guide to New York City. I think it's time for something lighter.
