pickProbably not meant to be suspenseful, but though I've heard of it, I never knew the ending. I was worried there for a moment! Again, great art, sprinkling of satire, beautiful message.

Not really. My immigrant mom preferred to tell me oral stories instead of reading. I really enjoyed her version of fairy tale stories.
My earliest memory of reading a book with someone will be at school during small group for EL students. The tagged book was one my favorites.

Ferdinand, which my kid is reading in Latin, has Ferdinand leap up from his beloved cork tree, dislodging a cork sapling. Munro/Lawson didn‘t understand how cork trees made cork! But I wish this were a thing.
pickThe illustrations in this book are to die for! A story of a gentle soul who would not be moved to violence.
pick?? Mama's Book Review: Logan received a classic children's book in paperback for Christmas, one his Mama had never read before. "The Story of Ferdinand" was an enjoyable read and we are excited to add it to our library.
