My first thought for #creepycharacters was Cathy in East of Eden. It‘s been years since I read this, but I still remember how utterly chilling she was as a character. And how GOOD this book was. I need to make time for a re-read one of these days. #readingresolutions

#ReadingResolutions #CreepyCharacters😱It's been going on five years since I read & reviewed this creepy book, but one of the characters, Colin, still creeps me out.😱Is he just a weird creepy loser or is he somehow involved in the pattern (24 in 9 months) of dead bodies found decomposing in their homes that a police analyst spots after she discovers her own neighbor's body? Either way, reading the chapters told from his POV made me want a shower.

There are several #creepycharacters in these books that I've either recently read, or in the case of Macbeth, I plan to read soon. #ReadingResolutions @Jess7

DGRachel I was a little worried about Macbeth because of the lackluster reviews, but so far I‘m loving it. 7y
MallenNC @DGRachel Me too, actually! But I wonder if some of those readers just didn't buy into the idea of making Macbeth a dirty cop? (I haven't read it yet, but I'm taking a chance.) 7y
DGRachel The comments that I see most are either people don‘t like the police noir vibe and/or there‘s not enough actual suspense because we all know how play ends, so we anticipate what‘s to come in the novel. For me, I love noir and I love Nesbo, so I‘m enjoying the book so far. It doesn‘t hurt that Macbeth is my favorite of Shakespeare‘s plays. 7y
MallenNC @DGRachel Macbeth is my favorite too, so I can't wait to see how it translates 7y

Bailedbailed

This was a Bail for me, but definitely meets #creepycharacters criteria. It might have gotten a little too creepy for my liking.

LazyDays I think his creppyer then his father😬😱 I have a hard time finishing anything of his. 7y
Ingerella @LazyDays this is the first Joe Hill book I've tried but I might have to agree with you! 7y
laundry_piles I love super creepy and super dark but I bailed on this too, I just didn't like it. 7y
Ingerella @laundry_piles Same for me. I don't mind a good horror/creepy/scary story but this was not for me. 7y

I read this awhile ago and loved it. There are a couple of different narrators one of which is actually crack cocaine. Not only is that creepy, but the “farm” that this takes place on is super creepy. Even so, I highly recommend this one!

When I saw the prompt for #readingresolutions for #creepycharacters I had to scroll thru my Goodreads list a bit as I generally don‘t like or read books with a creep factor. BUT...the Lessening Society in this series are ALL creepy and gross and freak me out. I haven‘t made it last book 6 yet but intend to at some point.

stargazerblue49 I hate baby powder because of that series 😂😂😂 7y
cobwebmoth @stargazerblue49 Yes! Every time I smell it I think of Lessers. 7y
Bostonmomx2 @stargazerblue49 omg lol I forgot about the baby powder! 7y

JoRead I haven't made it past #6 either!! Funny thing is I keep buying book as they come out 😅 7y
Bostonmomx2 @JoRead I think my library is well stocked on this series but I‘m just not sure I‘ll ever get caught up. Vampires aren‘t really my jam but I have enjoyed these first 6. 7y
stargazerblue49 @JoRead I got stuck between Payne and Tohr‘s books because instill wasn‘t over what happened to Tohr and I haven‘t been able to move on, but I, too, keep buying the books and putting them on my shelves! 😂😂😂 7y
