My #Booked2018 Season 3 wrap-up! Interestingly, all but one got the same rating from me: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

#blamelitsy: My Favorite Thing is Monsters
#DiverseNF: Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls
#SetatSchool: Prep
#LGBTQIA+: Chainbreaker
#JapaneseThriller: Penance
#BeachRead: Beautiful Day (⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Victoriahoperose I read penance too for the challenge and really liked it! Good choices for yours!! 6y
alisiakae @Victoriahoperose Thanks! I think Penance was the most popular pick for that prompt. 6y

This story is so meandering and detached that I couldnt connect with any of the characters and was bored out of my skull! The writing is very simple and almost reads like YA. Perhaps I picked it up at the wrong time...

Cinfhen So glad I skipped this!!! It was a #BOTM choice 6y
Reviewsbylola Not to mention his one leg looks like a big dick to me. I see it every time. Am I the only one?? 6y
Mdargusch Great cover though. 🙃 6y
Mdargusch I can see that @Reviewsbylola 6y
Buechersuechtling Thanks for your review. Although I didn‘t rate it “Pan” but “So-So” I‘m so glad that I‘m not alone with my mixed and definitely not-enthusiastic feelings towards this. 5y

A few days ago I greeted a visitor to one of my coworkers and helped her find her way to the right office. She was impeccably dressed, with a streak of bright purple peeking out from her perfectly cut and styled haircut. We bonded over our colors. 😀

This was an interesting #essay collection about ... hair. Hair in all its glory, trouble, and cultural implications. Arguments between mothers and daughters over hair. Going gray or not. And more!

Susanita Okay so I realized after the fact that this will also work for #diverseNF for #Booked2018 @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft 6y
Cinfhen Awesome hair color and book sounds like a fun read!! 6y

I‘m not sure how much reading I‘ll get done for #24in48, but I was able to finish my current book this AM. The story of MLK‘s last 31 hours of life, this was much wider in scope than I imagined. With a lot of of background on MLK‘s ideologies and causes dear to him, there‘s also a lot of info on the Poor People‘s campaign he was working on and how it led him to be in Memphis in the first place. This was my #diversenf pick for #booked2018.

emilyhaldi Sad 😕 6y
alisiakae This sounds like a great book. 😥 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I need to stack this one. Sounds like a good fit with books like the March Trilogy and 6y
Cinfhen Congrats on completing the prompt 💚 6y
Mdargusch Sounds very sad. 😔 6y

A heart wrenching memoir of a young woman‘s journey to freedom. Before her 7th birthday Clementine Wamariya is forced to flee her comfortable upbringing as a civil war ravages her city, destroying her childhood. This memoir offers her attempt to string the pieces of her memory together. #Booked2018 #DiverseNF

BarbaraBB This is one I must read too 6y
AmyG Oooo, I have this. Now I‘m covered for the DiverseNF book. Thank you! (edited) 6y
BookishMe Not related to this story but I had to scroll upwards to check if the post above yours, was also by you. Incidentally consecutive, @LazyDays 's craft post and then this title seem to match ;D 6y

alisiakae Great pick! I have this from #botm but will probably read something that has been on my #TBR for longer for this prompt! 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage So glad you liked it!! 6y
Reviewsbylola I thought this was good but I didn‘t connect with it in the way I had hoped to. 6y
Cinfhen I agree @Reviewsbylola I found myself speed reading through certain paragraphs ~ I thought the beginning was stronger than the ending 6y

I am terribly behind in reviews, so I‘m going to try and catch up. I‘ll start with my books for #13books13week that I‘ve read so far. Book 1! This was a great book even if I didn‘t comprehend 75% of the content. Neil deGrasse Tyson does a great job of trying to explain things in simple terms. He is also a great narrator (I listened to the audio).

BarbaraTheBibliophage Great pick! 6y
Cinfhen Awesome choice! I hope to start my book next week 6y
Mollyanna @BarbaraTheBibliophage and @Cinfen it was an interesting read and I did learn a few things. I stacked The Girl Who Smiles Beads, sounds intriguing. I look forward to seeing what you thought. 6y
