Skipped yesterday‘s haiku but I‘ll go ahead & post today‘s which is inspired by this picture & it being Wednesday & Hump Day 🐪 & me thinking how even if I‘m excited for the upcoming weekend, the 2 long days to get there will be exhausting. 😵💫
Hump Day Dunes
Getting over the
Midweek hump, descending fast
Like climbing sand dunes

Matt and I have been enjoying listening to soft, bluesy, instrumental jazz, especially around dusk. Something about jazz, slow, fall ... all of that ... gives my soul a boost.

I colored this picture and wrote this #haiku about it.

Spix‘s macaw, rarest
parrot in the world; still in
the mix, not out yet.
This gorgeous bird is the Spix‘s macaw, native to Brazil. They were classified as extinct in the wild in 2019, but they have been successfully bred in captivity. A program was started in 2022, releasing some back into the wild. Let‘s hope they thrive once again!

square your shoulders, leave

‘Twas a Monday & busy enough that the only look at the sky I got was at 5:30 PM through my skylight. I am intrigued by the orangey cloud. 🧡☁️🧡
Sky Peeps
Some days slip away
Just a peep at the outside
Skylight cloud glimpses

The Rockefeller Center's Christmas Tree for 2025 arrived today. I remember my visit to NYC with my family back in 1988, and we went to RC on our first night just to see the magnificent tree. Then I saw this pic today, and I saw things differently. 🎄
