I read this one during Christmas Day. Perfect for that day. I enjoyed it. What I like is Holmes analytical thought process to make a conclusion and discover who committed the crime or the crime activity. I will say that it was a cliché who done it but it was good. I also like how atmospheric, descriptive the author was.3/3.5 ⭐️

Gissy @mabell Calories😳😂We called that pastry “quesitos”. It has cream cheese inside. We usually eat it warm so you can feel the cheese war, but not totally melted😋 4mo

Read in June
I thought I was going to DNF this book in the way it began. I found Marin so immature for her age and too whining. But after half of the book😳it turns to be a heartwarming/heartbreaking story. Two sister decided to go on vacation to reunite. They were close but due to their jobs they haven‘t share together as they used to. Sadie couldn‘t catch the plane on time and she would see Marin later. But things start to happen ⬇️

Gissy (Cont.)Sadie has a secret and she wants to Marin enjoy the vacation first. What was that secret? I cried in this novel. Marin can be an annoying character but she learned at the end. From that cover, I expected a funny story. It has funny scenes but😢can‘t say more without spoil the story. 3.5/3.8⭐️

Read in June
I am so sad that this is the last book in the Aaron Falk trilogy. Maybe a little slow but I liked how it ended. This is a character driven novel with a good twist at the end. 4⭐️Maybe I was too attached to this character☺️

Gissy @Texreader I have a couple of books very behind but I will read them. I bought some of these books recently, specifically for this challenge because I want to explore some authors new to me. 🤗📚 (edited) 9mo

One of those long books that you don‘t feel it long at all because you want to know more about the story, about this family. A good book with a sad story. Difficult social-political times. That ending, trying to go on. The mother, Ma, is a strong female character in this story. 4.5/5⭐️

I received this book and bookmark in 2020 from @Endowarrior21 during #LittleChristmasSwap hosted by @bookish_wookish
Beautiful middle grade story with splendid, stunning illustrations. At the end of the book, the author explains what motivated him to write this story. I recommend also to read it in conjunction with the book. 4.5⭐️

Thank you @Endiwarrior21 🥰

It is like a cozy mystery. A murder occurred in a small town. Victim was surrounded by many scandals and rumors. A secret that everyone knows but no one said. due to religion power? I didn‘t know this is the 2nd book of inspector St. John Stratford Mystery. The end was okay everything was abruptly/convenient resolved. You will see controversies between Catholics and Protestants, the story is developed in Ireland. 3⭐️I want to read the first book.

Clwojick Way to go! ❤️ 1y
