This is a book that I haven't really stopped raving about since it came out but I'm using it today because the ending has apparently divided people. Some people love it (*cough*me*cough*) and some don't think the author made the right choice.

In the end, the reader is always going to make up their own mind, right?

#Rocktober #InTheEnd In between meetings and an eye exam, I found my only free 20 minutes this morning to hit up Starbucks for a soy-maple-pecan latte & a peanut butter cup cookie because I needed ALL the sugar today! 😆😋 In the end, I only managed a few pages of this current read before needing to text back & forth with my sister about life stuff. Then it was eye exam, one more meeting, errands, & finally home... Is it Friday yet? 😬

I haven't read either of these YA titles yet. Which should I read first?

Despite the title, in the end this is a hopeful book. It‘s about Veronika who is suicidal and the people she meets in a mental hospital. Now that all sounds very dark but this book is really about the light that can shine in the dark places. More modern fable than gritty realism but more plot than The Alchemist. I read it a long time ago so interested to hear if others find it‘s held up well.

#rocktober #intheend This Man Booker winning, super short novel is a near perfect example of an unreliable narrator.... A story of the lies we tell ourselves, of young love, old age, loss and memory. Loved it (and the Jim Broadbent movie is worth checking out too...) 💕

A lot of readers have reacted very differently to what happens #InTheEnd of the Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth. Some have loved everything about the books (and I fit into this category) others have felt very let down and disappointed by the third book. I have to say I could NEVER have predicted what happened in the third book. #Rocktober

This was okay and fun, but #intheend, I'm just not that into mysteries, cozy or not. I'm glad I tried it though! So thanks @Avanders 👏👏
