“In bed that night I invented a special drain that would be underneath every pillow in New York. Whenever people cried themselves to sleep, the tears would all go to the same place, and in the morning the weatherman could report if the water level of the Reservoir of Tears had gone up or down, and you could know if New York is in heavy boots.”

Either I read this book at the right time or the wrong one because it made me cry like few books have. The friendship it portrays, along with some guy-wrenching ups and downs, got me right in the feels, and I loved it. #botm #madeyoucry #30junebooks
Day 13 Prompt: #madeyoucry
I‘m a big softy and there are tons of books that made me Cry. But this book takes the cake.
Chapter 43, Left me in a complete mess. Every emotion in me was running wild, I had to literally stop & pull myself together after what happened in this book, it hurt so much. It‘s heart wrenching but like I said before written so beautifully. I also broken down a 2nd time at the end. So many things tore at my heart
For Day 13‘s prompt for the #30JuneBooks challenge, #MadeYouCry, I thought of this beautiful yet haunting retelling of the Russian fairy tale about Marya Morevna and Koshchei the Deathless. This book explores both the wonderful and the terrible aspects of live and asks the question, how do you trust your heart once you‘ve completely given it to another? 😢
Chapter 23 was so soul-crushing, I cried real tears... and then I read it all over again!
This book had me in tears for 350/400p of its 700p. I had to stop reading because I couldn‘t read because of all the tears.
I don‘t think I‘m the only one who had this reaction to this book.
