Madeleine Roux is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. The perfect combination of creepy, mysterious, and adventure.
Louisa was a fantastic main character, skeptical but curious. The rest of the characters worked so well together to make the book creepy and to keep you guessing.
The story itself was incredibly unique and I can't wait to read the next book!

Coming down to the wire for my Eclectic Readers Mad Lib Reading Challenge, so making some moves to get it done in time. For #4 Name, I'm replacing Timothy Zahn's Thrawn with Mort(e) by Robert Repino. I've got Thrawn but I hate to rush through it when I'll be meeting Zahn at July's ConGregate in NC (planning to do a Zahn marathon leading up to that. I'm also replacing #9 Noun/Thing with Asylum by Madeleine Roux, which I'm reading as an audiobook.
Been listening to the audiobook of Asylum. Not sure if the story is a little cliché or if I'm just turned off by the voice actor reading it. He makes every character sound like they're whining when they talk.
